English Rom V1.0 2014528 no China apps.

    Hi Guys,
Here is a link below to English release V1.0 2014528 ROM. No China apps installed.
The response in quotes is from Cube Australia , regarding some recent issues.

"I have a good news for you. Seems I have solved all the issues.

    A bit background first
In Australia market, we have two rom versions, one is the V1.0 which is in your first tablet, and the other is v1.3 which is in your second tablet, technician just simply changed the v1.3 language into English.

    Ok, your issues first:
    1) Long time boot issue
The V1.0 is a stable version, the long boot issue might be caused by improper recovery by our technician due to different driver installed. So, just re-flash the romv1.0, and the issue should be solved. I have now upload a full firmware package, v1.0 20140528, onto Google Drive, path:https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8u...it?usp=sharing
This package includes full drivers, rom(v1.0), SP flash tool(should have no difference with other MTK flash tools) and an English Operating Manual! You can now start to download it!

    2) Customised v1.8 on your second tablet
All v1.3 Chinese version onward are customised to serve the Chinese market, they have certain bundle apps installed. It is not recommended to be used. Therefore I suggest you to flash it back to v1.0.

    Now, issues on Freaktab forum
    1) Cool ui v3 black screen issue
This should be caused by a) the missing file in the rom package, and most important reason b) the drivers. Please see my V1.0 package, in which there is a full package of drivers for MTK8392/6592 in Windows XP/Vista/Win7/Win8-32bit/64bit. Now, how to recovery the 'dead' tablet:

    a) connect the tablet with your PC by USB cable
    b) open 'Device Manager', there should be an 'unknown device' showed up
    c) install the drivers for this device by selecting the RIGHT driver
    d) the driver should now be installed and the device is shown in 'Port (COM and LPT)' and the device name might be 'MTK xxxx port'
    e) now you can flash the device under the normal step......
    f) finger crossed...

    In conclusion
All the issues above are most likely due to wrong MTK driver installed. Once you installed the right driver on your computer, it should be OK to flash any rom. This can also explain why you cannot use flash tools at first time. Also, to all 9x users, we suggest you install v1.0 only at the moment. Once we have the later Official English version for 9x, I believe it should have, we will release it any let your guys know at first instance. Meanwhile, if you find any issue in using v1.0, please let us know, we will improve it.

    Hope this can help.

    Cheers,
    Cube Australia

P.S. I double checked the package, there is a bit Chinese character in the folder name, you can delete it if you fell a bit annoy, shall have no impact on anything."

if you can, try a different one.
I had the exact same problem with a Huawei G610+ MTK phone. Its looks like the preloader/usb part of the tablet switches itself on then off straight away when connect to the PC. Holding the Power and VOL - fixed this on the G610+ , but not on the 9X. I've tried 3 different ways to get the correct preloader installed and remove the microsoft drivers etc ( pretty sure the correct preloader is installed ), 2 different cables and 2 PC's incase it was a PC issue from working on the phone. I've had enough of playing around with this for one day Ill have another look tomorrow.

Hi all, Waiting for my tablet to arrive. AliExpress has good prices right now. I already have a Pipo M8Pro & a Pipo M9Pro. Flashing roms on these devices is easy. Anyone know what this is?? http://www.51cube.com/ch/DownShow.asp?ID=265
The Rom is dated August so it should be a newer version, But as I cannot read Chinese I really have no way of knowing if it is, or what the changes are. Also need to know how to install TWRP.
        Regards

          This is a modded version.
I do not recommed to install this one: some user that installed it now have bricked their tablets: touchscreen is no more working.

I have some doubt to install and older version as 1.0 is...

Hi all. Some days I'm trying to figure out how do you create the file scatter.txt with mktdroidtools but I can not. the button create scatter files inside the blocks section remains greyed out. I fear that our talk9x is not really supported... I was wondering how they did or Lepi supersport900 or other modders ... I can enlighten? Thank you

Thanks mmrrdd. I checked many times adb drivers and I wanted to also try the pda version (if you have link for correct driver, please share to me)... I have winxp 32bit and I had no difficulty to digest the tablet driver is in fact correctly detected, manages to make even the entire backup but do not scatter file generates. When I try to do it forcibly by import from generate firmware.info, the file that pulls out is in fact for the mt6582 scatsoc v. 1.1.1, and not 1.1.2 mt6592 scatsoc v. ... I also modified the mtkdroidtools.ini file by adding 8392: 6592 at the end of the line on the Soc but nothing ...

                    Sante (aka instancabile / uNaNONIMO)

I can upload a scatter file if you let me know what version of the firmware you are using.

I have worked from cubes releases rather than pull the images from the cube.

The scatter file you need is with the ROM.

                            oliveoffice

Been having the tablet for a week and I m completely satisfied and impressed at the same time. Excelent built quality, pretty fast , good wifi reception!
I m currently using 900supersport's latest rom and i m facing a problem. Im using oliveoffice as I do in all my mobile android devices but in talk9x it cannot "see" my micro sd . Other programs like utorrent or root explorer do not face thhis problem and see my micro sd card as sdcard1. Is there a way to solve this? Is it also possible to mount microsd as an internal sd folder(someone in xda had done it for an olf phone of mine and it was perfect)?
                            Thanks in advance.

I tried sdfix and says that my device already has access to sd card so no action needs to be done.

Probably oliveoffice hasn t fixed the app to be able to do this in kitkat. Has anyone else tried it and have the same problem? Is there a program to give permission to this program to access the external sd(without the program asking it by default?)

What about mounting external sdcard as internal sd card folder. Does anyone know how to do this?
