Due to my busy life i was absent for a while...Got my PC fixed. I we lost dozen off CUBE files i was working on but...Upgrade to the SSD is WoW. My PC is running on steroids now.
My daughter plays with the tablet these days. It takes so much time to develop,test, compile files... and i dont have so much free time now. But development did not stop

There are good news and bad news
Bad news firmware 1.8 compiled with Linaro GCC 4.9 doesn't boot (missing kernel sources) Mediatek never released their sources to the public. Much more tweaks and scripts i lost when my HDD crash.

Good news is i am back. I have created unnoficial recovery for our beloved CUBE TALK9X.
Based on latest 6.0.5.1 CWM full touch recovery + support for Aroma File Manager. Works tested 100%.

Sorry to be sarcastic, but i'm sure you'll understand.
Last time I read and follow your "works 100% won't brick your tablet" my tablet got bricked, I lost many nights trying and failing to revive my touch screen, and only got my tablet back from China a few weeks ago. Your software is not directly the cause, the lack of test and too much confidence, in both ways, is.
Other users had the same experience, we are no noobs like you first stated, we did anything fine, but were too confident in "works 100%".

Did you try your software on other tablets than yours, and only yours, before releasing it to public and its many tablet series (different screens, for example) ?

i have installed this rom in three different cubes all work fine, maybe you did something wrong

Sorry to say this but you are the only user who have experience problem with the touch screen after flashing the firmware.

There is at least someone else who had the problem and asked here (or maybe a PM...).
Lepi had the exact same problem with CoolUIV3 ROM, and several chinese people reported the problem on Cube's forum (in august i almost learnt chinese reading it :-)).

As i gave the "alert" very fast, maybe some people avoided the problem.
Many people read and follow forums but don't participate, other may have been warned too.

I repeat, your ROM, your work, is not the cause of the touch screen failure.

Cube released a bad CoolUIV3, it did not work with some of their devices, and later removed the download links.
IMO there is/was something in your ROM, common with CoolUIV3, that messes with touchscreens.

I never have any issues myself and many more users who successfully flashed my first release are patiently waiting for my next release. I make sure everything gets tested properly before it is released.

If your testing hardware is compatible, your software tests are great... software tests :-)
I'm a developer too, i think testing on one device only, when there are many hardware versions of it, is not enough to claim "100% sure" for a public release.

As we don't have an explaination from Cube (in my case, software repair ? hardware repair ? they didn't tell), for me it's hard to be sure that one ROM or another is safe.
More information from Cube would be great.

And so, i agree, we are all flashing ROMs at our own risk, i did, it went wrong, it was my mistake.

To be honest if the fault was in the firmware from cube then cube are responsible. I test on my u65gt (black 16gb) and use cube's ROMs as the base for mine. If I'd reworked that ROM then it could easily have happened with my ROMs.

Hello to everybody,please someone help me with my problem.I try to install new rom cause i have internet problems before with 3G .
But i have not take backup of nvram .
After install new rom i havent Imei any more .
Says " invalid Imei" ......

Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. A lot.





FOR ALL OF YOU HAVING PROBLEM WITH TOUCHSCREEN NOT FUNCTIONING AFTER FLASHING MY ROM HERE IS MY FIX.
TESTED ONLY ON CUBE TALK 9X WHITE/BLACK

-Takes only about 20 minutes if you follow this steps
**make sure you have a working backup of nvram.bin from your tablet**
**must be familiar with use of SP FLASH TOOL**
**tablet should be fully charged or at least 40% battery life left**
**Backup all your data from the tablet on the pc**

1.Download first https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0B5za...xport=download
2.Extract downloaded file to your drive c:
3.Open extracted folder and you will see 3 folders inside Drivers,SP FLASH TOOL AND STOCK CHINA FIRMWARE
4.Install the drivers depending of your system X86 or X64.
5.IF YOU RUN WINDOWS 8 .DRIVER SIGNING POLICY MODE MUST BE DISABLED IN ORDER TO INSTALL DRIVERS CORRECTLY OR FLASH TOOL WON`T WORK link here http://thephuck.com/end-user-computi...-in-windows-8/

6. By now you guys should have drivers installed and we can move on
7. Open folder U65GT_V1.8_20140704 STOCK CHINA FIRMWARE and place your copy of nvram.bin
8. Now we are ready for SP FLASH TOOL but before we start make sure the battery is at least 40% charged and make sure all your files from internal memory are saved and transfered to your PC.
9. This proces will erase all data files and partitions from your tablet.
10. Power off the tablet
11.Open folder SP FLASH TOOL MODD
12. Right click on flash_tool.exe RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
13. Answer Yes in popup window
13. SP FLASH TOOL will start with error message scatter file not found... JUST CLICK OK
14.Click on the box Scatter-Loading and select scatter file from folder U65GT_V1.8_20140704 STOCK CHINA FIRMWARE
15.When the list of files is loaded make sure everything is checked in check box including NVRAM
16. Select Format All+Download
17. Press Download and wait a few seconds
18.Connect your tablet to usb port and wait process to complete
19.When done wait for a minute and power on tablet
20. Thats it you are back on stock china firmware 1.8
21. From here you can flash files throught recovery or whatever else.

I HAVE REMOVED DOWNLOADING LINKS FOR MY FIRMWARE AND WE WILL BE BACK SOON WITH MORE OPTIMISED FIRMWARE AND HOPEFULLY CHROME BUG FIX

I have 3 backup on my sd card but I don't find the nvram.bin if I opening the backup rom jut nvram folder find can you help me please how can I found? My problem with the touchscreen doesn't work after flash thank you

I had been struggling for a week to update my ROM but I am a layman and searched thro' and tried huge number of sites, forums and youtube, but finally using the process (at DISQUS http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-install-a-custom-recovery-to-an-android-phone-device/) and some info. from this page I was successfully able to do it on my Expensive & Feature packed Chinese Phone !

Hi guys I'm in trouble I've got a cube talk 9x u65gt SN below 1426 and I've noticed when power up it working well smooth but after if I put it down for few minutes and I want to use again going slowly and it has changed the screen resolution and I think this causes that my tablet getting slower as long as I restore my device after working perfectly again anyway one of my friend has same problem with his same tablet.

Is anyone has any ideal how to fix it?

Hi guys I hope anyone can help me I had flash the v.2 rom by lepi and my touch screen response does stopped to work after I had flash another rom which is fixed this problem but it has no network signal whichever rom I want to flashing nothing has change still have not got network signal and also I have noticed my tablet going slowly and the Facebook doesn't work on full screen is anyone know how to solve this problem?
