Please test other RK3288 ROM's on your MK903V's.
I think things like the USB Port or Remote might not work.
But very important to see what other ROM works OK.
It won't help I make a ROM and then half of the things don't work.
If I know what doesn't work then I can try to fix it in a new ROM.

The factory ROM version is based on kit kat. I assume our testing for compatibility should be based on the 2.0 ROM from Wasser since our stock is kit kat... Can you confirm?
Then tell about everything that is not working.
eg. led light, USB port, sound, remote, wifi etc.
Also test video playback.

I'm studying up on these to see if I can find one that is more compatible than another. Did you release a firmware for the R89 also? HPH 1.7, does the HPH box have AP6335 wifi?Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com

Wasser 2.0.9 works, however, stock remote doesn't (don't need it) lights do not (also not needed) and Wi-Fi does not work. Tested with tears of steel full 1080 24 fps 1474 kbps and it looks incredible with and mediacodec on wasser kodi and no drops or stutters with fast forward and rewinding.
Naturally Bluetooth not working. Does the custom rom require spoofing as a Nexus 10? I think that's for YouTube 1080 playback but maybe let the end user decide that.
I didn't really prepare for not having wifi, so I don't have the latest kodi merged with spmc, only wasser kodi and spmc 14.2. I did download the overclock kernels but have little reason to try them out on a temporary set-up. I may be able to hook up to a computer later and get some more test video and apps.Last edited by budgetgeek; 06 August 2015, 02:53.Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com

So
- Remote is not working(this is very difficult to fix, but will see)
- Light(maybe fixable)
- Wifi & Bluetooth(can fix)
Do the USB ports work? If not you can copy the apk's to a memory card and install from there.
Try this video and you will see stuttering - http://box.houkouonchi.jp/4k/4K-Chimei-inn-60mbps.mp4 it is 4K 60mbps.
Wasser ROM hides the statusbar, but I can get Youtube 1080p working without hiding the statusbar.
Can you root your device with towelroot.apk and then install terminal apk from the Play Store, might need to download on a PC and load from a flash drive.
Can use this to download apk's from the Play Store - http://apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader/
Then in terminal app type
su
dmesg
and post the output in eg. pastebin.com
but try to turn on wifi/bluetooth first even if it doesn't work.
Can send me the pastebin link by PM or post here.
Also try to get the IR Remote scancodes

It got really hot and I nearly burned my hand. All it was doing was sitting there. So I flased back to stock for a few tests. The 4/20 stock firmware doesn't work on my device. I will load my apks on my memory card and work on dmesg. I'm confident enough to try other roms. Do you think one you have done for another device might also run?Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com

Other firmwares should also run.
The problem with TV Sticks are that the components are very close together and there is probably no heatsink or a small one.
That is why it's always better to get a TV Box with better cooling.
You can maybe try a USB fan for cooling.
The other firmware might let it run hotter since it was made for TV boxes with better cooling.
There is also a problem with the USB, since the TV Stick uses different USB ports/drivers that are present in most RK3288 firmwares.
You can maybe also try this firmware - http://dl.radxa.com/rock2_square/ima...y_20150704.zip
USB might work.
Please post dmesg of that firmware if it boots.

I did not test much in the radxa rom because audio did not work along with wifi, but i got the dmesg anyway. It didn't get hot, either.
That rom looked and felt like the stock rom that you could download from bosuntop.
I never said usb did not work, it does, as does the otg usb. My mele remote worked fine, the keymap has always had a problem with the home key, all other buttons work fine. The stock remote didn't work but it has been in a drawer since it arrived.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7l...p=docslist_api this is the dmesg.
Besides the nexus spoofing, i liked the wasser rom better, but between the testing, really all we need is a kernel fix. To eliminate stutter and speed up ram, assuming it doesn't cause overheating.Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com

So I will see what custom ROM can be made.

I'm not rushing you, just bored and pretty stoked that firmware for another device actually worked. I had never tried it before, and now I'm wanting to try it with other firmware to try out how other developers work looks, and since you're working on this one, to see what yours will possibly look like and feature.Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com

If it works good, I'll use it as a base.
