No, sleep is the sleep of death, I'm afraid. You can use it to shut down from Wasser's power menu, and that's it. Not sure if it's a complete shutdown or some interim state, however there's no signal to the screen when you do it.
Let me see what I can put together for you.
EDIT: Here you go: I've already put the requisite V5 beta files into the Image folder here. With Android Tool, use the files in that folder plus the loader.bin and parameter files. Recall, my MK903V is the 16gb ap6335 model - mileage may vary.

I'll leave it up for a while in case anyone else wants to try.Last edited by Zahir; 30 September 2015, 22:11.

It's the kernel, I believe. So long as you use "Sleep" to shut down, you can power down but you have to reconnect the power lead to restart.
I've also noticed a date/time bug when using Wasser-MK903 - at random, the wrong date and time are reported. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes not...
Perfection eludes us, but this combo is quite usable and delivers terrific video in Kodi and MX Player.
EDIT: Wait, I may have misunderstood your question. You're asking which of the rom files enables wifi for a particular chipset? It's resource.img. The resource.img from the V5 beta, which I've given you, should enable 2.4ghz wifi on the AP6330 chipset, so you should be ok.Last edited by Zahir; 01 October 2015, 00:29.

Has anyone tried this rom on the AP6330 version? Looks like it has google apps.
EDIT: I tested it, wifi not working, flashed misc.img and resource.img and still no luck. Flashed kernel and got boot loop, so I quit.
Was worth testing. Power off simply reboots it. Sleep allows it to wake up. There may be a way to dump something from it to the wasser rom and make a compatible rom.

Okay, one last question. Someone mentioned that the 5.0 rom is just a modded tablet rom. This got me thinking... Could you use a rom for a tablet with the same specs and trick it into thinking it was outputting to the hdmi? Because when I run the beta v5 rom, i get a toast message that hdmi is connected, like on a tablet.
And of course there is such a rom out there...

Some tablets also have HDMI out ports, so look for a tablet ROM with HDMI Out like Pipo P1 etc.
Might need to edit build.prop to 240 density as some tablets have 2048 resolution instead of 1920x1080.

What is the latest ROM's that work best so far on the MK903V devices?
This one
http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...or-beelink-r89
or does 3.0.0rc4 also work or what's not working with it?
Where can I find the latest stock ROM?
What wifi chips are everyone using AP6335 or AP6330?
Does device only have 8GB ROM, I read another stick had 16GB.
Any specific things to include in the ROM?
What apps need to be installed by default?
Other launcher eg. solo, nova etc.
I also want to include a nice bootanimation, anyone have one or a group of pictures captured from a video converted to jpg(must be eg. 25fps 10 seconds, then eg. 250 pictures)?
A Lollipop ROM I think will work better.
The problem with tv sticks are, they can't be overclocked otherwise they produce lots of heat.
Wifi is also weak most of the time and not enough USB ports.
RK3368 tv boxes are only a little more expensive than RK3288 tv sticks now.
I would encourage everyone to buy tv boxes in future, going to save you a lot of ROM porting, testing etc.
I'm also working on a new Kodi, probably going to keep me busy for the next week.

There is a beta lollipop rom from RKM on the v5.
I am currently using the v5 rom on mine and it works for both devices. We can root it, and installed minimal google apps and debloat, and I have disabled the navigation bar but it does not have unified storage or wifi optimization and is limited on certain video playback.

Hmm.. keepup the goodwork budgetgeek
Today i found my self installing kodi-wasser-15.2 (rc2 for rk3288) just to see if the vid quality would be better
But sadly it did not work (rklib files are to old?) It just crashes to desktop
-it reminded me.. to upgrade the mk903v (and to donate more)
I just seek the best kodi/youtube/browser/vpn experience (with usbdac dragonfly..if possible)
root and optimized..like budgetgeek stated would be great
(boot animation.. do what wish, i run my sticks 24/7..scheduled reboot at night when im at sleep..so i rarely see it)
Offtopic... i also connected a tomtom mkii gps bluetooth dongle..it worked fine
Cheers

Indeed, the issue with using the otherwise excellent Wasser RC4 on the MK903V 16gb AP6335 is power management (shutdown-reboot-sleep don't work). However, heat can also build up with that rom as it is clocked at a full 1.8ghz whereas the stock roms for these sticks are under-clocked at 1.6ghz (for thermal management).
Most of the Lollipop roms present power management issues, being designed for boxes with power buttons. The exception is the RKM V5 Beta, which is for a stick, and works decently in that respect. The main attraction of Lollipop on these sticks is that it offers stutter-free video.
As for Kit-Kat roms, apart from the stock rom flagged by Budgetgeek, there is a custom build from a Russian developer, which I found superior in all respects: it defaults to Russian on first boot but that's easily changed by "feeling" your way to Settings/Language & Input and switching to English.
I've uploaded it to my Mega account, if that's of interest to you.

Thanks indeed, Mo123, for any help you can give.
