Just wondering.. can you install lollipop, then go back to 4.4?
Or do get the same issue as rk3188...bootloader needs to be downgraded
while it sounds fun to play with lollipop.. it still has allot of issues. Like not playing all Vids any more, unstably ect
-I think it better to wait.for something more..stable
Anyway just my thought

The RKM V5 Lollipop beta works very well on the 903V, without modifications. I have the 16gb AP6335 version, and the rom offers stutter-free video in Kodi and wireless AC at 5ghz. Yes, it's a limited beta - no root or Gapps- but for video streaming, it's superior to Kit-Kat. Internet browsing is fast as well.

I'm using the lollipop beta for v5 on mine, with AP6330 and wifi works. Problem I am having is with streaming videos, they stop about 3-5 minutes in on SPMC 15. Any suggestions? I'd like to stick with SPMC 15 launcher if I can help it. If someone can mod kodi to be a launcher, I would try that if it's the solution.
(update: V5 rom is working great!)Last edited by budgetgeek; 13 October 2015, 23:07.Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com

With the V5 Lollipop beta, you should be able to use SPMC 15 without issues. I'm using it with that beta on both my MK903V (AP6335) and my RKM V5 (AP6330), and 1080p video streaming from my NAS and the internet is excellent and sustained (although a handful of avi files will only play with software decoding).
Assuming you don't have a network issue, you might need to reinstall the firmware. (Did you do a lower format first?).
Also if you're using a USB remote dongle on the OTG port, try moving it to the host port (next to the antenna).Last edited by Zahir; 20 September 2015, 03:32.

Nevermind, using the rom linked in this post:
http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...-mk902ii-patch
Works 100%. Including OTG. Rooted, and has google framework, minimal apps. Bluetooth not tested fully.Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com

I have noticed that it won't shut down. I can get a soft reboot out of the reboot app, but no shutdown without killing the power. Definitely runs warmer than stock lollipop. I'll have to make do with it.Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com

mo123, your intervention would be wonderful. For both the 903V and the V5, what's needed is a rooted Lollipop rom with at least 4gb of app space, functioning power management (reboot/reboot into recovery/clean power-off), wi-fi operational (on both AP6330 and AP6335), ethernet (on the V5), and all I/O ports working. A tall order..?Last edited by Zahir; 21 September 2015, 06:59.

Edit: that is to say, merge the Wasser 3.0 RC2 or Final once it's published, and use the boot, kernel and misc from V5 beta to achieve a finished rom.Currently Inactive on Freaktab.com

Yes, I've mixed and matched in pretty much that way - with mixed results.. Wasser likes his own kernel - swapping in the V5 beta kernel (with or without the V5 boot.img and loader) results in no boot. You CAN swap in just the V5 beta misc and resource with Wasser to get AP6330 working, but you lose the effective power management that comes with the V5. Shutting down leads to freezes..
Much of Wasser's magic is in his kernel. Most of the essential functions for the V5 (and 903V) are in the V5 kernel...So, we need Mo's alchemy...
