It works well for FatFreddyDK who has the same problem

Maybe the kernel has some others differences with Maakie's one.
    Hi everybody!

@Stevejc for me your kernel is the best, except one thing in your kernel wifi is weaker a little bit, however the 3G is the best, that is why a prefer your kernel!! could You build a new one with a little stronger wifi? Thank You

    Great rom thanks guys!

Migatuno, use RKDevelopTool to erase idb (or erase all blocks) then flash rom with RomFlashTool or RKBatchTool

    Another procedure:
    1) Run the 1.37 Flash Tool from the RileyROM 2.6b download
    2) Click "Erase NAND"...wait for it to finish and then exit the KitKat 1.37 Flash Tool.
    3) Run the 1.37 Flash Tool from the RileyROM 2.5.2 JB download
    4) Don't "Erase NAND", but check/add the "Loader" option and then click "Flash ROM".

Same result that in post #283.

Tried again, after erasing NAND with ROM flash tool 137,
restoring with RK Batch too 1.6.
    This was the result:

After reading many threads I have tried opening the tablet, shorting pins and now, I am at Maskrom Mode.

I click ERASE NAND. Erasing IDB OK.
I click Flash Rom with Loader marked.
    Start to run.
    Start to download boot.
    Download boot OK.
    Start to test device.
    Test device OK.
    Start to download IDB.
    Error: Download IDB failed.
    Error: Run failed.

    Don´t know how to follow.
I suppose this problem is somewhere in the forum, but I haven´t been able to find it.
    Any help? Any thread?

If I reboot pressing without releasing the power button, PC sounds and says that it can´t recognize the USB device. I open the Device Manager and try to update driver software, but Windows says the driver is updated.
When I release the power button, the PC sounds like unplugging a device.
And, along all this proccess, the flash tool doesn´t found the tablet.

Thank you for your support, but the PC does not recognize the tablet.
I´ve been out for one hour and it stays the same:
    Booting screen saying:
    PIPO
    INTERACTIVE MEDIA 4.4.2.
    And a couple of logos of android 4.4.2 and 4core A9 RK3188.

Don´t know what was wrong. I followed all the steps, and the flash program seemed to do its job.
In fact, I had a 4.2 android, and now it begins to boot a 4.4.2. But only begins. The boot never ends.

I think I´ve used any possible combination of RESET, POWER, ESC, VOL+...
    1) Plug USB cable into tablet and your computer. Make sure that the cable fits correctly into the tablet.
    2) With a pin reset 'Reset' then just hold power for 2 sec...
    3) See if there is ANY activity on the tablet or your computer

This is all I know for this tablet. Perhaps other pro know more

Did you use the little hole in the back? 'Reset' ?

data for d33 to kernel compilation

    M6pro - WIFI only

Randy's 1.8.1 ROM factory kernel dmesg
    dmesg-m6pro_randy181.zip

    1.1 ROM kernel dmesg
    m6pro11.zip

1.1 ROM Pipo stock kernel dmesg
    M6pro11stock.zip

If there is a wish list for kernels I would like to add a wish for a different kernel for non-3G M6pro tablets.
Stock kernel under 1.8.1 trying constantly to get a mobile network lock and this is draining battery. I've removed telephony apk from the tablet and it's helped but the kernel is still trying to lock.

    Contribution M6 PRO KK

    rrileypm / Maakie / d33 / giouncino

I need to try this new ROM! It sounds better for GPS and CPU management.. But a lot to read and potentialy new problems ^^
In the meantime, I am glad to see the hype around M6 PRO is still there... and that you took on PIPO's sourcecode. BRAVO!!!

Little history: I bought two M6 PRO last december 2013 (Currently both on KK RR 1.8 - 32GB WIFI M6 Pros - No 3G): One Prime working as it should be and very satisfied with it (Not Mine...Of course)/ and a Crippled one bought later from a different provider (Mine.... Sound Less powerfull / WIFI Less (Wifi Analyzer app) / GPS Less (GPS Test app) / Old Antutu score Less by a thousand / CPU probably "Unlucky").

So... I had fun with the "BAD" one My Goal was: to make Both work identically (With the same Firmware/ROM/Kernel)... There is no reason why not since they were bought more or less at the same time (No RAM differences.. Yes Giouncino I read your posts both M6PRON13 serials and CPU quality)...
2nd Goal: Eventually improving it's performances...

Therefore, I have my contribution to input since my first Post back on RR 1.8.0 if you remember Riley... It is more Hardware related and I achieved it by comparing both tablets.

    HARDWARE
    --------
    1. Believe it or not... I found out my crippled sound on the bad PIPO M6 PRO (sounded like : No sound Power / Mono / Saturated at high volume / and no Bass compared to the good one). It came from incorrectly soldered speakers (The minus was on the plus and vice versa on BOTH speakers!). -> Yes I first used the trick involving cutting the plastic to balance and raise the volume (issue is more M6 Max related for imbalance/ Not M6 PRO even though one of the middle plastic is smaller that the other side) Yes, I used many apps to boost sound even changing the sound drivers using ViPER4ANDROID... Results: the soldering was the trick. No need for more. ^^-> Since I corrected this, Screen brightness became better and less yellowish surpassing the "GOOD" one/ and more stability from the tablet but still not yet there... CPU wise. I Lost some bass compared to the "Good one" due to the cutting of the plastic. But very little.

    2. On the crippled one: Solder quality: some solder Joints were made using Electric quality solder and not an Electronic one thus increasing the Ohms and dropping sensitivity on some GPS / WIFI related components. Even my 30W Iron was barely enough to unsolder some of them! I am lucky I did not destroy any circuits!

    3. WIFI: I managed to get identical WIFI signals on the BAD M6 PRO just using paperboard underneath the WIFI/BLUETOOTH antenna. A flat surface, it's position in the case, it's distance to the GPS antenna are the Keys ... Many Tests! Now i receive a better signal than the "GOOD" one. I used to have -10db difference....

    4. GPS: I tried different fixes.... First the gps.conf + ClockSync for a faster Fix according to my country(France) and clearing the Chinese default files . It helped even on KK even if Kuan does not believe it but I am still at a 1-3 min fix.. Not as good as the "GOOD PIPO" with no Fixes so I applied the cardboard underneath. I Lost some precision but got a better Fix... I am still working on on this. I think the antenna is too small according to my calculations we need close to 9.XXcm to catch the GPS 1575.42 MHz (10.23 MHz ×154) called L1 signal(Public) For info: L2 is for Warfare 1227.60 MHz. I might build a DIY "dipole antenna" with a "balun" at 50 Ohms to replace the original antenna.

    5. Better Compass: I have also seen a 180 deg difference (North pointing south). I think we can overcome this by shielding the speakers with aluminium foil. if the assumption that speakers have an influence on it as i read on many posts. I doubt it... Maybe it is just mounted upside down ^^

    SOFTWARE
    --------
    1. I found out tablet performs better at a lower resolution (Normal). The Mali 400 MP was never intended to run on such a High resolution. If you kick in HDMI output at the same time it is even worse. I compared with the M9 Pro that has 1980p resolution / same hardware - smaller definition but definetly better Antutu score and user experience. To match that performance on a 4:3 Screen and maybe surpass it: I found out that for Pipo M6 PRO best settings are 1600X1200 at 240 DPI even with with HDMI. I use "Resolution Changer" from the Google store for now but it is a matter of time that I include it at boot. I get an Antutu score of 24952(Newest Build) with RR 1.8.2 and stock Kernel.
    2. Thanks to 1. I get a working "TomTom 1.4" GPS app. Before, it used to show a black screen on navigation.
    3. If you want to run "Clash of Clans" use "Disable Hw Overlays" ON in Settings>Developer Options.
    4. I still have not found a solution to make "KingSoft Office" renamed "WPS" to work correctly . I get scrolling to the right and screen artifacts. It runs well on the M9 Pro however. ???

P.S: I CAN POST Screenshots/ Pictures on demand.
    Regards
