One GB (should be named GiB) is a gigabyte (should be named gibibytes= 230 byte e.g. 8*230 bit=1073741824). The gibibyte is a multiple of the unit byte for digital information.

One gigabyte, or GB, equals one billion (109) bytes when referring to storage capacity.

    1GiB ≈ 1.074GB

So if we have 32 GB storage then we have 29.79 GiB storage.

    Total 32GB NAND memory.

    - 1GB for system
    - 2GB for user app space

    Total left over...29GB

I can't remember (because I'm not a numbers guy), but the way GB is calculated actually, and they way GB is advertised has ALWAYS been different. After any disk is formatted, it comes out showing less than the advertised or spec'd size...same with every computer device. Why that is...to me is a total mystery...but it seems to be a TRADITIONAL LAW of all that is geek. Hahaha!!!! Maybe someone more geeky than me can cough up the real legendary story. Children....Gather 'round.....

If you flash the rooted ROM and select a parameter file for greater user app space...the difference will be subtracted from your available internal SD.

    storage

I have the 32GB m6pro. After flashing PipoM6Pro_ROM_141117.zip, I only see a total of 29GB (~4GB in internal + ~25GB in NAND flash) in Setting -> Storage. Is this expected? Where is the missing 3GB? Also, there is no incognito option in the stock browser. Is this known issue?

(4.2.2 works with them, of course) Also, not using ART, if it matters.

As I suggested in the Riley 1.8.2 thread #911 try this and tell as if it works:
Anyone having problems with game freezing, ie Boom beach etc. Here's the solution I found on another forum. Tick “Disable HW overlays” under the Developer options in settings and games work fine.

You can use this to turn the screen off when mirroring

I think it would require a new app to overide the default hdmi mirroring behaviour

    Hi!
Is it possible to fix hdmi screen timeout in next versions? I'd like my tablet's screen switchs off when i'm connecting it to TV, it will help to save a lot of battery's energy.
    Thank you in advance.

OK, let's wait for the kernel gurus . In any case thank you for answers.

I will have to let the kernel guys answer that.

In this case is it possible to add this clock frequencies for CPU and RAM to new kernel? For example 216-1704 MHz for CPU & 744 MHz for RAM like it was in giouncino kernels

The most significant fixes to this firmware was done inside the kernel. I'm afraid you would loose some of the fixes by flashing back to the older OC kernel...but it should boot and run just fine. You would just have some of the old problems previously encountered...that's all.

Custom kernels from giouncino - is it possible?

Hello to everybody. I'm new to this forum. Recently i bought my Pipo M6 Pro tablet. I tried Dmr48's firmware from 4pda.ru. That firmware is based on RileyROM 1.8.2 with some customisation. On this firmware I did experiments for combination with custom kernels from giouncino and kernel_GPS_1.4_cpu1704h_VERY_LOW_V1_gpu600_ddr744. img was very good for me: fast and stable. . In this combination my tablet take in Antutu 5.2 score 26692. Now I've flashed FreaktabROM v1.1. It's working good, some previous problems go away (like buggy video in Skype) but as for me on overclocked kernel from giouncino the tablet was faster. So i want to ask: is it possible to use a custom kernel version 1.4 from giouncino with FreaktabROM v1.1? If no, is it possible to make custom overclocked kernel with same clock parameters for FreaktabROM v1.1. Thank you for answers.

It's the same loader. No problem checking it or not unless you are upgrading from JB.

You might be able to run a logcat after a freeze and see what happened.

The real answer must come from the developers (they know what's going on inside), but I was running 1.8.2 as well, and when I flashed I ticked the loader.
I had no problems doing it like this.

    Un saludo,
