This was the first Pre-version 1.0 ROM (Mostly kernel work) Maakie made for us.
To have the complete works with Maakies kernel, look in this thread for the Complete v1.0 Rom RRiley made, here:

Sorry, double post because I did not see the answer that was already on the next page, Crandy was just a bit faster... :-)

ROM v1.0, after I updated GAPPS, perfect, no more apps getting optimized at reboot when using Art!

Install thought TWRP and you need to do a wipe cache

Maybe we will add this in future ROM
Hi SteveJc, hi all, this is how I installed GAPSS from .ZIP file.

First, shutdown the M6Pro by holding down the Power-On button, choose Shutdown.

Then, reboot the M6Pro while holding the Vol+ and Back button and Power-On button.
When it is starting, release the Power-On button, then release the other two buttons as well.

The M6Pro will now boot into TWRP recovery.
Choose INSTALL, and select the location of the downloaded GAPPS.ZIP file (in my case the external SD-card), and Swipe from left to Right to install the ZIP-file
If everything goes OK, it will report "Successful"

Now tap the "Wipe Cache/Dalvik", and Swipe from left to Right to perform the Wipe.
If everything goes OK, it will report "Succesful"

Tap "Back", then tap "Reboot System"

The first time it will optimize all installed apps. (133 in my case....)

After this quite a few of the newly installed Google Apps came with a Not Responding message. Probably because the system was very busy, in all cases I choose "Wait"

The first full reboot took about 15 minutes!!, so be patient, including updating both Hangouts and Google+.

As a test I performed a reboot again, this went OK, no optimizing anymore!!

Thank for the quick and good advice!!

    Un saludo from Spain,

    Satbeginner

All the rest is running fine, but after every reboot about 50% of my apps is getting optimized again.
After this, everything is working great again.

    Any suggestions?

I have a very unlucky cpu as no oc kernels has ever worked without problems. RR 1.8.2 runs ok with no major problems. Is the kernels in these two new roms (maakies first and 1.0) oc? The new rom feel snappier so i would love to have this working.
Just wants to let you know. All problems with my m6 pro wifi only has gone away. Kernel provided by Stevejc solved it all. Running 2 days now with no hick ups, freezing pr reboots. Thanks to you guys i will stay with pipo.

I agree, it's a very good result for a stock kernel on m6pro! I'm happy for the "new life" of your devices.

Some friends of mine still have the pipo m6prp, I suggested them to install it!

(in reality I'm happier with my new tablet now!).

Apart from benchmarks I'm sure that maakie's rom is fantastic and is for SURE better than all roms built by Pipo during almost 1 year of development!
@giouncino, I was curious about this as well, since Version 5 of Antutu does yield different (higher) results to Version 4.

So I installed version 4.5.1 of Antutu and ran against this rom and got 20523. This is just the stock kernel with no modifications and OC's, and it is about the same as the best I got with your tweaked kernels. And I still have had no reboots or SOD's !

Sorry you sold your M6Pro before this ROM came out, you could have had some fun with it I'm sure

Hey D33/Stevejc/Maakie...I have one little tweak that I think would be a major improvement...but it needs some testing.

On the M6 Pro, the speaker volume has never been loud enough. I've solved this by using Viper4Android and it works quite well. I've never been able to find that one setting in the system files to turn it up. Can you look in the kernel code and see if there's anything that can be done to boost speaker volume?

It really wouldn't hurt to turn it up a notch or two on each of the devices. I played around with my M7 Pro using Viper4Android and while stock volume is listenable...it could stand to be louder too. I haven't even played audio on my new M8HD yet to see if it needs it.

My P1 has the same form factor as the M6 Pro...and it too has this pesky volume problem...again solved with Viper4Android until maybe we get sources for it someday?

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Randy that was my bad, i knew that because i always charged it with the original adapter, i think i was overwhelmed by the excitement of this great rom that is flawless in my case (M6 pro no 3G) that i forgot that my other devices are Samsung usb charged, but not my PiPo !

Thanks for your time & devotion as well as to D33/Stevejc/Maakie for this [Pipo Project] M6 Pro , before this i was considering giving up on my tablet and now i am really enjoying it !!!

    Ivan.

all these frequency doesn't need overvoltages (1.2 - 1.25V are sufficient)
    Thanks for your explanations
