This is my first post here, and I would like to share info about WeTek Play, new Android TV box powered by AMLogic AML-8726-MX SoC.
I manage to compile latest version of OpenELEC with Kodi 14.0, and now device is running OpenELEC directly from MicroSD, so when I want to use Android, only remove MicroSD and reboot device so it boot directly in Android 4.2.2 JellyBean.
Interesting is that device have option of Plug & Play tuners, and available tuners are for Satellite, ATSC, and Hybrid tuner which is for Cable/Terrestrial (T/T2).
Great thing is that it have RS 232 and RS 232 cable is shipped with device, so it allow easy debug and testing with direct access to u-boot console.
Here are some of infos:
OpenELEC (unofficial) Version: devel-20141118151354-r19722-g0a17285
OpenELEC git: 0a17285b1dac219582bee6cc3ff666da23ec1b2c
Linux OpenELEC 3.10.33 #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Nov 18 15:16:40 MSK 2014 armv7l GNU/Linux
Wifi is Broadcom AP6211, so both Ethernet and Wifi is running ok at same time.
Apart from compilation, I added AP6211 firmware (fw_bcm40181a2.bin) in /lib/firmware/brcm (also patch for g18dtd included in attachment).
My built firmware already include AP6211 firmware and Wifi is working:
How to install OpenELEC for WeTek Play:
Simply unpack file wetekplay-openelec.tar.bz2, and burn .img file with Image Writer application ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/ ) to your MicroSD, turn off WeTek Play, insert MicroSD and WeTek Play will boot into OpenELEC. Once when want to go back to android, simply remove MicroSD and reboot and it will boot in Android.
