Pipo P9 RileyROM 1.8

[rrileypm]

This ROM is based on official Pipo firmware dated 12/10/14 with kernel #213. Based on the file name, there is an update to the light sensor and added compatibility for some additional flash cards. Thanks to Pipo, and Pipomall.com for furnishing this tablet for me to test.

This ROM is:

Rooted...this time with Clockworkmod Superuser (it solved some problems on some other tablets)
Debloated
English default (but full language support is included)
Google Play Store fixes to allow more compatible apps
Init.d/Busybox support added
2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12gb user app space available by selecting the desired parameter file
Reboot app by Petrus
Auto Install feature - installs APK files from the external SD (autoinstall folder)
Multi-user support added
TWRP recovery included in the RileyROM folder (same as the v1.5.1 TWRP...I've tested it)

Download 3G Version

Download WIFI Version (This has some more aggressive build.prop tweaks for battery savings)

I think it has to do with youtube app, not this ROM.

I wonder why Pipo is only releasing 3G versions of their ROM lately. I guess I will test this on my WiFi only device if the battery usage stays reasonable.

There won't be lollipop anytime soon. I emailed Anna and she said they have no plans for lollipop at this time for the p9.

Good news is tho with nova launcher 3.3 they added some tweaks to give it the same feel/appearance of lollipop.

Am I the only one who has a battery draining issue since 1.7 version?
The 1.6 was perfect. May be I'm doing something wrong?

Thanks a lot! I love your ROMs but I hope some day someone achieve a solution to bring DRM decription to our tablets. It's imposible to show anything on the Netflix app or others like that. It's kinda frustrating...

Thanks for this new ROM!
On my wifi-only P9, this firmware is not able to recover the wifi module after awaking from sleep-mode. This also happend on 1.6; 1.5 worked correctly. I did not test 1.7, so I cannot compare to that one.
