This T9 comes with mali 760 or mali 764? I seen some websites display 760 and some 764. I assume the Mali764 is the more powerful one.

My Cube 9X (5 months old) was sold yesterday for ~235USD and I just bought a CubeT9 on Aliexpress with case and DHL delivery for 275USD.
I think it will reach me next Friday.
I'm on this camp now.
I see here a few owners but I have not read about T9 pluses and minuses.
It was some kind of buying blind.

Mali 760 on T9. But it seems to be powerful enough.

root = ability to have administrator rights (install and use Titanium backyìup, faster GPS, greenify and ALL apps requiring rooting access, possibility to delete some chinese stuffs and so on), it's really usefull

OTA update (if the other term is this) = install the latest stock rom via Over The Air (OTA) updates, Stock Roms are always NON rooted.

I am curious.

If I am able to root the T9, keeping the stock ROM. ...will the OTA update feature mess up the root if used?

That was what I was trying to find out as I am still on 1.03 and everytime i check for OTA, it says I am already on latest firmware.

Mine upgraded with no issue to 1.05 using OTA.

You might send a text to Cube, and see what they suggest. Hope the tablet is ok otherwise.

When I bought my T9 the differences were not that much. I understand your deliema.

Have you checked with geekbuying and actually placed the code in to see how low it would go to in CAD?

I have an iPad II, and the T9 gives the impression of being much closer to the overall speed and quality of that tablet (actually faster in some areas).

I do not recall having that same impression with the 9X (although the X at that time was the best I had seen from China).

I had the same problem. But the difference was 30 USD, not 80. And I bought T9.

BamaPanda, to be honest you should say that about overall buil quality, talk 9x is a little bit better than t9, but I agree with you that t9 is faster!

I see the build quality on the T9 as top notch ...no issues what-so-ever. One can have a sightly thicker tablet, and still have excellent quality.

It may be that we have a different perspective on what makes up build quality.

If you are considering being thinner as a part of the quality equation, then the 9X would have an edge here ...but to me that is not to be considered in build quality.

Bottom line, they are both built about as good as anything I have seen out of China ...better than most anyone ...and pretty much equal in the overall quality.
