Today I've recieved the T9 and the Ifive Air.
First impressions after 20 minutes of use:
-Grainy screen. Not much notable when you only have the T9. But when you have the Ifive Air next to the T9, you can see the difference. The Ifive Air screen is SUPERB! EXTREME - CLARITY AND DETAIL. I'm very impressed with this screen quality.
-T9 is fast as hell. Incredible fast.
-Ifive quality construction is extrem! The best with difference.
-Ifive air don't have doubleclick wakeup. T9 and V989 got it and it's a must for me.
I'll post more later. I don't have much time now.

Regarding the 'grainy' screen, I have not yet removed the outer plastic from the screen (with the paper T9 graphic on top). I have pulled it back and it is much clearer underneath.

So have you pulled all the top stuff off the screen yet? If not, it may make a difference.

Still, even if there is a bit of grain in the end, for me it will be OK ...as I know this is an attempt to keep down glare when using the tab outside, and there are many times I do ...so no issue.

Interesting comment about the iFive Air, and it's excellent construction. Pretty sure that tab is a laminated design with no easy access to the internals.

That is not an issue, as long as the batteries never need changing.

More than that, it may indicate a very cool running RK3288 chipset in a pretty thin tablet. Kudos to Rockchip.

I downloaded the app but it is all in Chinese, and I do not read Chinese.

Help! Would love to have a rooted T9 with 4.4.4.

          Hints on reading/decipering the language??

          Thanks

Shopping expirience at "Shenzhen OKQI Electronics Mall" on Aliexpress

            Hi,
I've been trying to get a 50$ refund from the seller "Shenzhen OKQI Electronics Mall" on Aliexpress.
After a week+ of claiming to be unable to see the videos I send via email and linked via Mediafire they made me an offer for a 7$ coupon, or to re-embrace what it will cost to fix it locally.

Fixing it is impossible, you have to manufacturer a new case, and they probably know that, and 7$ is basically an insult, and not a 7$ refund, but a coupon.
I've escalated the dispute, I hope the Aliexpress justice system is good.

If you are planing to get the T9, I recommend you stay away from "Shenzhen OKQI Electronics Mall" at Aliexpress.

Other than that, the device screen is more responsive now after the factory reset (or I've just gotten used to it). the weight is an issue, after 30-40 minutes my hands grow tired from holding it. Battery is so so, It doesn't hold out for too long, my Ipad2 battery life is much better. This is just my opinion, it's not based on scientific research. It's a good device 7.3/10, and considering its price 9/10 (I'm ignoring the defect on my device of course).

Here are 3 Videos demonstrating the problem:

I didn't find any better price than on Aliexpress for my talk 9x 16Gb...
Ive never been able to buy from Aliexpress though, they ask for a weird varification process where you have to send a photocopy of your driving lisence ? among other things, would never give them details out.

Wow nice !! ), My only drawback on buying is the weight, it seems there is always something with the China tabs that just makes it less then perfect lol, would you say this is an issue though ?

I am glad I found geekbuying.com. For a nominal add on there was insurance I purchased that made it possible for a return address in the US if needed.

So far no issues. Still, I have been stung numerous times with a problem with other sellers, and yet I somewhat understand. It has to be difficult dealing with these kind of situations long distance.

Another I have noted that is trying to make all this work better is Merimobiles. They have available at purchase extra cost coverage to be able to have repairs done in the US. Somewhat odd to have to pay extra to get warranty taken care of somewhat locally, but it is a start.

Hate that you had/have an issue with the T9.

What type of reset are you speaking to ...the basic reset in the settings?

I have noted a few times the screen did not seem as responsive as it should be, but I thought it might be me ...or the fact that I am still using it with the plastic screen overlay ...you know, the one with the multi color Cube T9 in the corner!

Not for me. It seems about the same as my iPad 2.

It is heavier than my Pipo M8 Pro, but keep in mind that ...
Screen - M8 Pro ..plastic; Cube T9 ...glass
Screen - bigger on the Cube.
Battery - Bigger on the Cube.

As I have mentioned before ...the T9 and the M8 Pro have the same external deminsions ...width x height, but more screen real estate with the Cube. So same physical size as a 9.4" (other than the Cube is a bit thicker) with the weight of an iPad 2 ...which is physically larger.

If you want lighter, the Talk 9X is still available ...not as fast as the T9, but still plenty capable ...
and another alternative is the iFive Air with the RK3288. It should be about the same speed as the Talk 9X. This looks to be a very quality tabet, and the Rockchip devices look to have better support for rooting and custom roms if you like to do that.

Mmmmm... Bad news... I think it's a general problema of this Tablet... My T9 have very bad sensitivity on the touchscreen. I've peeled off the protector film but the sensitivity remains very bad...
I can see the I'm not the only one with this problem.
I'll try to make a reset to see what happens... Will post later.

To be clear I do not think I really have an issue.

The touch issue I have seen is with the keyboard, not wanting to place a cursor in the spot where I would like to type.

This is an issue I see many folks have with many brands of tablets, including the Samsungs and such.

                          I am thinking it is Android related, as what most people do is try a new keyboard from Playstore;
PLUS ... I do not see any mention of keybaord issues with iPads.

I DO wish you well, though. Hopefully the reset will help!

                            Factory reset.
Beware - it will delete EVERYTHING from your tab, and return it back to Chinese.

After the factory reset the problem continues.
I'm writing thiis wth the T9 and as you cn se a lot of leters are misng. And some ttims it double the letterr.
If I want to write correct I have to double tap or firmly press a lot of times. This is a REAL BIG PROBLEM.
I have to change to the Ifive to continue wriiting on this post.

                                Yikes! I hate that!

I started to ask if you had tried a different keyboard, but from what you indicate it really does seem like a hardware issue.

Guess I will leave mine as it came from geekbuying for a spell longer ...just in case I develop issues!

                                Edit.
I just changed keyboards. I had seen issues with jumping to a different line while typing. So far this looks to be doing pretty good. I will post back if this does not improve my typing experience.
