MK808 Android mini TV Player - Finless 1.5A Custom ROM

I just flashed it, I don't know what is changed other than 1080p and supposedly 1.4 GHZ. I noticed it looks bad on a 720p tv and doesn't perform very well on 720p. Maybe it is related to the graphics change.

I made a request for the 720p kernel. deadhp1 is soo awesome! he compiled 2 versions of his kernel for us 720p users.(1608mhz or 1418mhz)

I've downloaded a few items (a firmware update that's supposed to upgrade the OS to jellybean, one that's supposed to increase the clock speed and one to fix the 1080p). I've read nothing but good news about your ROM. I just got mine today, and I wanted to know if there were any prerequisites to performing this upgrade, or can I install it on a stick straight out the box? Thanks in advance.

Just follow the directions in his readme file. Step by Step, and you will have no problems at all. You may want to use a computer with win XP or windows 7. Windows 8 works too, but there are a few things you need to do before you get the drivers loaded.

Please share rtl8191su driver

On 1.5a, internal wifi still drops to 5Mbps from time to time; so I totally give up.

Rainlake helped me get the rtl8191su driver for my old usb wifi (300Mbps), and it works flawlessly on 1.5 and 1.5a.

It sees a lot of neighbor access points. Streaming HD mkv videos from my NAS is smoother than the usb-to-ethernet adapter I have. Thanks to rainlake.

FYI, my wifi router is Belkin F7D4301v1 sitting just one meter away.

Application and settings problems

Google Search - terminates and does not work.
Google Voice Search - terminates and does not work

I have a DSP USB that provides mic and sound support

Settings for sound to go to HDMI and not the DSP are not retained on reboot.

Does anyone know how to resolve any of these issues?

'Extracting' Current firmware image

Now that I got my mk808 setup just the way I want it, how do I 'copy' it to a new mk808?
How can I extract and create my own img file for flashing a new device?

Hi !! Thanks for the great ROM !!!!!! I have a question, is it still possible to select any 4:3 resolution ? Ex: 1024x768 or something like that ? Cause I have a 4:3 projector that I'd like to use but it's not good when I set 720P or 1080P.

I know that the original ROM used to have a 4:3 resolution and it was the best thing for me, but I want all the benefits from this great ROM....

Hi with your ROM Finlesss 1.5a. For MK808, does this include CWM? And also includes functioning APP Reboot ??

Cant help with 4:3 and I do not recall the original ROM having this?

CWM is not included as I have not made one yet for MK808. However my CWM for ug802 should work.

Device won't boot..

I bought a Type A male to Type A male cable to give my MK808's and UG802's more power. I also bought an adaapter that has a Type A male on one side, Type A female on the other with a cable and a mini USB connector (to connect my USB hub). I now use 2 mini USB cables + the Type A male / Type A male and I get great Wifi and works off of my USB ports (all 3) on the TV perfectly.
