Sv: NEW - MK808 Android mini TV Player - Finless 1.5A Custom ROM

Maybe a stupid question, but anyway: if I have flashed a new rom once and by doing it got the drivers installed on my pc and so on, do I have to press the little flash button on the mk808 every other time too?

I ask because I would like to avoid the hassle of crawling in the dust behind the tv to disconnect the device (to be able to press that button) and instead just flash by attaching an usb cable from my laptop.

Yeap you have to press the flash button each time you want to flash it.

Question. I reverted backbto 1.5a with 1080 kernel. If booting starts i get a cropped image of boot animation... somtimes google tv logo in background too. But i have changed my bootanimation for testing to a 1080er version... so where are theese pics and why it looks so ugly?

Text rendering issue

Update: After re-installing official firmware then update to finless 1.5a the issue us now gone.

I have a primal gv-20 (apad.tv) mk808 clone (or original depending on who you ask) that works fine with the official firmware (http://www.apad.tv/apadforum/showthr...te-V1-Download) but when using Finless 1.5a all of the text rendering is washed out and hard to read. It appears as if font is not rendering properly. As a test i did update the official firmware with Kizs's 720p kernel only and it did not cause any rendering issues. Any ideas?

That is the initial boot screen in boot.img and because you went to 1080 it is 720 and is now not rendering properly. When I do a official 1080 RPOM that will be fixed.

Is it principal possible to do Android on 4:3 aspect ratio without stretching anything?
I need XGA resolution for some old Monitor - DVI-Adapter works fine and VGA-Adapter too and a ~5Watt Mini PC would be great i guess

I was using 1.7 ROM on MK808, however both me and my friend have tried using 1.7 on Mk808.

Once installed, the Wifi is not to working ... this is true for all three 1080 kernels... any suggestions ?

ALOK.. Finless 1.7 Rom will only work with Wifi, if you use an MK808 Kernel. That means you need to get a kernel from another MK808 rom (the fastest so far (if you want 1080p is by KIZS on ARMTVTECH). IF you just install finless 1.7 for UG802, wifi will not work...

Either do that or wait for Bobs official 1.7 for MK808 which will be a lot faster again.

Skype calls fail to connect

I have installed this ROM as I thought reading that skype would work with it. After installing this ROM I only installed skype. Calls look to connect and then fail. I cannot even connect to the test system of skype. Anyone else has skype working or knows the trick to get it working. Not connected yet but I will try to connect a logitech C270 webcam eventually.

UPDATE:
After plugging in the webcam everything worked fine. It probably went wrong for missing the mic. I attached it to the OTG port without a powered hub. It becomes a bit warm but went fine for 15 minutes.

Logitech C270 Skype

HI.

I have finless 1.7 installed with Kizs 1080p kernel, and skype works really well, perfectly in fact..

Google+ hangouts sort of work, image is sort of cut of.. but Skype is awesome.

Trick is to re-plug webcam . I do that from time to time.

True -at this moment I am using a very stable 1.5a ROM + Krizs firmware to get 1080p and sunning xbmc very smoothly ... in fact, on another UG802 I have setup linux mysql - and my xbmc is pointing to this mysql db for its library - works awesome....

I also confirm that skype with Logitech HD525 is also working nice.
