I just installed Finless 1.5A on an SS808 and it runs perfectly. I am also using an ethernet to USB adapter and it picked it up instantly. I have an MK808 as well but it came rooted and already clocked to 1.6gHz (mot ppl say they aren't rooted but mine was). I bought both off of Amazon last week and haven't had any issues with either. Finless installed on the SS808 seamlessly (had to use gf's laptop since I run linux on my computers) - I did have to use a paperclip tho to get into flash mode.

I dont believe there is bluetooth Hardware in MK808 .

to get into flash mode:
Probably easier just use press and hold the reset button use a sharp object. (there are two holes on MK808, one is LED, the other is a reset button). while you are press it , connect the mini usb cable, hear the "blip" sound on computer, let go the button.

Today i recieved my mk808 i found great but bump int some problem...

First if i try to update to Finless 1.5a with his flash tool, i got a message which i didn't found in his readme...
Device can not do Flash Mode, because it is not msc device. I installed the driver properly i got into Flash mode, the factory updater always green, but when i press in the Finless Rom Flash program Reboot to flash mode buttun i get always this error message... Any idea wy i tried many times rebooted pc and Mk too...

I wrote down everything and i saw the Flash Rom button i pressed and everything works fine!!!

Another problem i saw everywhere that this mk has bluetooth in it, but when i try my bluetooth keyboard too connet i cant find where should it be the pairing or connecting section...
In the new finless i found blue tooth i tried to turn on, but it wouldn't turn on it stays off!!!
I connect the usb adapter to my mk808 and didn't recognize the bluetooth adapter please help if somebody know wat did i wrong....

xbox classic (USB) controller?

Hi, I have a Geekbuying MK808 with newly flashed Finless 1.5A. Everything seems ok (other than WiFi that I will have to re-solder at some point).
Question: I have a bunch of XBOX (classic not 360) controllers that are USB if I remember well (through Microsoft connector). Would it be possible to use it with MK808?
Probably it needs some kind of driver.

Just wanted to thank you for this rom. Got my mk808 yesterday booted it up just to see how stock was. Browser wouldn't launch, home button wouldn't take me back to home screen. Quickly flashed your rom and the device is sweet now. Had it on using it almost all day yesterday with no issues to speak of after I flashed your rom:-)

I think maybe USB/BT Joystic Center app could help you. It's a little complicated for beginners but works. Search youtube videos on how it works.

I tried the program Voodoo OTA Root keeper , and after I ran it I used root checker and it said I did not have root access, I then loaded Flixter and when Itry to run Movie it still says I have a Rooted device
and it will not play it, I even tried to clear cache in Flixter app, any other ideals ?

Go to Google Play and get Voodoo OTA Root keeper. This will backup and hide ROOT.

Hi! I got a wireless mini keyboard connected to the mk808 and it works ok. But the keyboard has some functions buttons that doesn't respond. It would for example be really nice if the Windows button on the keyboard could bring up the home screen or maybe the apps.
Is there any way to map keys in this manner?

Very good and a basic question....
i have got mele f10 air mouse. And there are many Buttons on it. Some Buttons doesnt function with mk808 .

I use External Keyboard Helper available on Google Play. Works really well. You can find out which code on each button and link them as you wish. I use plain Swedish keyboard where normally ÅÄÖ etc. do not work. But this works well

RAM full!

Anyone else having troubles with the 'Android System' consuming too much RAM? After i boot up the device its seems to be ok. Its using about 300MB or even less. But when i let it be on for a while and use some apps and do the usual stuff, the memory usage goes up to like 800MB and the device gets really slow. Is that because of what applications i have installed and use? I play some Heavy games on it, like Max Payne, GTA3, CS Portable. But even though the game is shut down the Android System app is up too high in memory usage - it uses about 700MB it self

Nice ROM

I just finished loading up all my apps from google. got all the settings done, using TV Launcher. Set to 1.4 ghz it scores 7300 on Antutu, up from 6500. Will do more testing later, Gotta walk da dog. LOL

By the way, had to use a cable from a usb camera, could not get connected to pc with included cable.

Cannot installed win 7 drivers for mk808

Hi everybody,

First thanks to Bob for the hard work ...
I just received my MK808 today and tried to upgrade my device to 1.5a Rom by windows...

After following every steps, i cannot installed the drivers for windows 7 64 bits...
Windows told me that the drivers is up to date then the "Rom Flash tool" cannot recognized my device ..

I would like to precise that my MK808 settings is put on "connected PC" and "Debugging USB" is turned off ...

Any ideas?
