[ROM][5.0.2] Unofficial CyanogenMOD 12 for MK808B-Plus - WeTek Gift

Hello,

I wanted to flash CM12 on my MK808B Plus but I'm having some troubles.

I currently run Finless 1.1. but I'm having problems with my gamepads and someone said this rom would work better.

So I've put the rom and the gapps zips into my sd card and rebooted in recovery mode. I made a wipe too but when I'm trying to flash from the zip I get following message:

"E: Error executing updater binary in ZIP *path of the zip file*


2) Would you rather recommend CM11 or CM12? Which is more stable/better performance ?

You have to use recovery.img which is in this thread.

So the flashing process worked out well but my original problem remains, Logitech Rumblepad 2 doesn't work for some reason.

Hello there

I'm activated cec-hdmi functions on this rom:

echo "0xb" > /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/cec_config

(detach and attach hdmi conection without unplug power connection)

and cec is start but stop function before 2 minutes. It's a bug on amhdmitx library solved on last version lollipop. This is the fix: https://github.com/codesnake/linux-a...9923462869d47e

Is possible to patch this fix on CyanogenMod 12?

Gentlemen, I see cwm but after selecting the outer card says to me that the card is not installed

you card might be using and unsupported file system like exfat or ntfs.

Laugh Out Loud, good luck to you my friend. I'm still trying to work out weteks business model. Wonder when they will jump ship from dual core to quad core in search of HEVC support, perhaps when everyone is running Octacore.

Any PC gpu is capable of HEVC decoding but GTX 960 and future to be Maxwell2 gpus and Intel Skylake APUs but looks like people can't live without HEVC.

Still want HEVC, 128 cores, great software and excellent price.

Devices like the mk808b+ have great prices because come without support, if you guys are running OE (or Lollipop) it's because someone on other companies payroll has done the work that the real manufacturer hasn't done.

This came out as a STB receiver, compare it to something 3/4x times priced (like a Dreambox) and you'll see that you get a bargain.

I don't wanna be cocky but that's facts, WeTek brought support to another level. There's people that like this approach and prefer having a device with real and fast warranty, direct line with tech support and guaranteed upgrades for few bucks more.

If specs is what you're looking for, WeTek at the moment, is not your choice, in the future things might change.

I'm sure that on the development side and customer support side wetek absolutely rock but here in the UK people are obsessed with price as the UK is one of the most expensive places to live on earth. Your Italian I think, you make the best cars, mine was designed and built in Turin, best women and best clothes and also best shotguns as I have a Franchi semi auto and a Rizzini under & over. Not to mention the Italians make the best shoes too.

My Internet is not good so HEVC is for me great for compression.

My previous job was an IT Manager but now I'm a Re engineering Consultant where I go into companies some which are failing and some that we feel don't use great business models and we turn them around.

Using Twrp it says " error executing updater binary in zip"

Before that, used Terminal to flash CWM and then tried to install it, but it just stuck at the start of installing and didnt move for 20 minutes. Weird.

Even before that, the recovery.img in sdcard root, didnt work with reset pin and had to flash it the above way using terminal. before using CWM it used to say, Your device is xyz, rom is for wetek. (dont remember exact.)

I believe I exhausted all options and seems there is a niggle in the file itself. So can you please tell me whats wrong? If its something that I did wrong, do tell. I used your CWM and flashed finless 1.1 without any issues in a minute or two.

Hello guys, I guess most of you have noticed that, right now, I'm just working on WeTek products (and couldn't be anything different since I really like doing this kind of stuff for them).
To prove you that WeTek Electronics cares about community and since we don't have any AMLogic S805 product, we decided to make users of MK808B-Plus happy by releasing a CyanogenMOD 12 build for them.

Hi CT I just wanna thank you for all your hard work. I and most people really appreciate your work. I understand you need to pay your bills and if working for week helps you do that then good for you. I have never tried a week devices but I'm sure since you work on it it must be a great device even though its dual core. If it does everything you want it too I don't see the need for bigger stronger soc. I've never seen updates like what you put out for any other box so that definitely counts for something. I just really appreciate you giving us cheapos with mkb+ a bone to chew. I currently am running your cm11 on all my mkb+ and I love it. Your the man!
