Anybody tried to install or update the YouTube app..?

I get an error message during the Installation... Not enough free space.... But there is plenty of free space intern and extern Volume, USB and SD card...

Every APP can be installed, only YouTube not...

All are nearly at the same level,
but Lepi's ROMs have best microSD support, and generally works really well....

I'm currently using a stock 2.0 ROM lightly modded by me.

Thanks Lepi for the latest rom. Version 2.0.8LW seems to have solved most of the white text bugs.
White text is still not visible in aptoide search bar and in particular in the words suggested while writing.
The text is also not well readable in Skype settings: the text is green on a blue background.
For the rest, it is always a great Rom: smooth as butter. I love the green theme instead of the orange one of the previous versions.

Recovery and Scatter file probs

Hi folks,

i hope someone might help me with my U65GT. I'm a Software Dev and have flashed many ROMs etc but have little experience with MTK chips. I have flashed a few stock ROMs and even cwm on one device, but that was easy and worked with mobile uncle. The 9x seems like a really nice device so far and works well, except for the limited amount of app storage, which i why i want to flash Lepi's fixes( thx alot for this). It was easy too ROOT but i've been having problem ever since. so here the specs:

Host Pc:
OS: win 8.1
AMD FX Octa 4.3GHz (OC)
16GB RAM
MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port drivers are installed!

The device:
(from mtk droid tool)
ROOTED
Hardware : MT8392
Model : U65GT
Build number : 0502L012_EP79-U65GTB18MXXTDC_V2.0_20141111
Build date UTC : 20141111-062955

To my Problem:

I'm trying to flash U65GT_V2.0.8LW_Lepi_150308
So first i need to get a new recovery. Here is where it already starts. When i boot into recovery and select recovery from the menu i get the dead android bot and "No Command" underneath.
So I try and flash with SPFlash.
Droid Tools recognizes the Tablet fine and the adb has root.
But when i go on "Block Map" the "create scatter file" btn is greyed out.
So I made a Backup and used the "firmware.info" file to create the scatter file "MT6582_Android_scatter.txt".
Which already seems odd because shouldn't the file name resemble the chip? like "MT8392_Android_scatter.txt" ?!?
Anyways, when I use that scatter file in SPFlash it shows me all the entries except PRELOADER, protect_f, protect_s and CACHE. Since i only need recovery i check only that and select "recovery_rua1_CWM.img" i got from an earlier rom package since it wasnt included in the latest ones. From what i understand/read i need to flash cwm before twrp.
But as soon as I plug the tablet into the usb SPFlash give me this error "BROM ERROR S_CHIP_TYPE_NOT_MATCH".
So I'm thinking there is a problem with the scatter file! right?
I want to ask here before i carry on, cous i really dont want tho brick this, it's not mine

This is the scatter try this, But perhaps it has to do with rooting not well done, I had read it somewhere in the forum. I think root genius is the best for rooting

still not sure what went wrong or why i cant just save the scatter file from Droid Tools.
But i'll continue with twrp and then the ROM.

EDIT:
I successfully flashed twrp and the latest ROM from Lepi. thx again for the help with the scatter.
But when i go to storage i still only have 2GB available for apps. I thought this is ficed by default in this rom! What do i need to flash to have the 4GB of AppStorage?!

There are many ways to solve your problem.
1.- If your device is already rooted and you have already CWM recovery installed and your tablet
is with a serial number higher than B1426XXXXXXX! Then your problem is
a corrupted SD or USB stick. Suggestion to re-Download Lepi's excellent ROM and copy it
To a new SD stick and try again. Also try to install Lepi's TWRP recovery, better interface.


2.- Oh the long tortuous way. For non-rooted/rooted tablets.
Lepi's Rom is not working with SP Tools but Brian's is. So download
Cube Talk 9x U65GT ROM based on Cube's V 1.8 firmware of 3 September 2014 ROM
with CWM recovery, unzip and flash with SP Tools and you have a ready Rooted tablet.
Then you flash Lepi's ROM and the rest of the goody s.


FYG everything I learned about MTK tablets is reading from this FORUM. So read carefully and you will find the all the tools you need.

Thx, i was rooted but couldnt get into stock recovery or install custom recovery from SPFlash.
It worked with the scatter file i got though. so all is good now, except the appstorage. I edited my previous comment earlier about it.

Thanks, will upload some files for memory from 1gb to 4gb or 6gb. Yes it will lower your Storage Capacity from 16gb to max 10gb but with one up to 64gb SD card you will Have no problem. By the way with Lepi's ROM you have excellent OTG support.Simply Flash without unzipping.

Brilliant thanks, i do realize that it has to take the space from the sd storage.
But i have still a probalby stupid question! I just flash this with recovery right? Or do you mean by OTG, to rename it as update.zip and apply it through system update in the OS ?!
