Bricked!!! I upgrade from 1.6 to 1.7, and flashed the 1080p kernel and boot. Unfortunately after the flash tool output "Run OK", the device stuck and never reboot. Is it bricked?

Hey alex, could you recompile a kernel with touchscreen support? I just want the ug802 to think it has a touchscreen so that I could just touch emulation with sixaxis controller app

Yeah, I think that's the problem, as we were talking here. We need make the stick think that has a touchscreen, maybe then we can emulate touches by an app like usb/bt joystick center.

The Rom is running perfect. I have the 1080 version running at 1.6Ghz. It's perfect but this little thing is hot, also with a big heatsink....I'll try to post some ir images when I come from my work...

Big 1080 mkv's are playing fine, but I can't make the 5.1 or DTS sound work. It works with the same cable and with my windows pc, the surround receiver auto sets in 5.1 but with the ug802 the receiver it's always in stereo downmix. I think the audio have to go 'pass-through' the hdmi. Anyone got it working?

Even with a heat sink these chips could very well fry an egg.

Yes.. compared to the Finless Kernel I agree.. but its the currently fastest option for MK808.

Running the finless 1.7 kernel on the MK808 however was much faster, but obviously no wifi.

Cant wait for the proper Finless 1.7 for MK808..

still poor encodig for mpeg4, can somebody fix it, becouse on mobile phone it works perfectly. 50fps shows compression artifacts.

Image quality

while you are working on increase GPU performances, is there anything you can do with the image quality in term of saturation, lightness and anti-aliasing? I mean for video playback.

right now, android doesn't have any way to control these parameters. would be nice to have a way to tweaks these.

I can confirm ... MK808 is working with UG802 1.7 Rom , kizs_kernel_1.5GHz_1080.img, boot1080.img and 2gb appspace... wlan 72% and -53db stable same up/down 1100kbps/8500kbps lik my galaxy tab. more testing later. antutu 3.0.2 8953 with 1500MHz

Fantastic Rom guys - this little UG screams very nicely now.

I cannot get Antutu to complete though, stops and exits to main screen during 2D/3D tests

Hey, here is the post with the ir images and the temps.
I think with a good heatsink no one is going to fry their ug802. But without it....maybe will blow up.
This little thing is getting hotter than my desktop quad cpu overclocked to 3.4GHz, but it has a beast heatsink with a 12cm fan...

Maybe Alex can make us a warp 10 kernel going up to 1.8 or 2.0GHz...going "where no tv-stick has gone before"...

I need a bigger charger
When plugged into stock charger it gives me constant reboot's, also when plugged into tv. Now I've got it in my computer end it go's alright but now i have i loud zoom in the audio of computer.

are you using the cable or connecting the unit directly to the tv?

if yes,try donnecting it directly
the extender cabel cant be used with 1080p so it looks like the unit is dead on the tv screen

Did not test the Rom at the moment but allready did my donation.

Please go on with your fantastic work.
I search for a cheap good andoird device with a good rom just to get XBMC running fine in 720p HD wlan stream.
still can´t get AC3 running in xbmc but maybe this will be fixed soon
