      I'm not sure I set the permissions right when I copied the system.tar contents into my new system.img. Maybe there is a step I missed. Can you convert the tar file to an img without loosing the permissions?

        You cant just make a system.img from a CWM .tar file using simple file copy.
        CWM uses a Edify script to copy the files and set permissions and make symbolic links. So you can convert a .tar to a real system.img but you have to write a script to do it.

          Recovery with ROM dump

          I just ran this system through your script. There was only one error of a recovery install sh file that wasn't there. Otherwise, it worked well.

          I'm uploading this new version to my tester.

                      Ok now that we know it works I'll do a parameter file for 2gb for you.

                      I took it as back to stock as possible to get the thing working.

                          Glad my tips on the script and how to convert from a .tar file worked!

                          It took me like 4 hours to put that together starting from scratch.... I am glad it is paying off.

                          Neomode... NO... you don't get the script! Only Randy gets it.... You must do it yourself....

                          Kidding.. check my post in the Dev forum about it.

                            Hi finless ... i see a CMW modded by you for PIPO U1 ... i try it and give me some errors (like Randy's CMW)
                            you can't build it one for my tablet ?
