The wireless issues are going to be same with stock. All I did was use the stock kernel and wifi drivers that came with the stock ROM.

You might try the FX5 kernel I provided in the flash kit and see if it helps.

Yes it is possible. Many of the early TV sticks had similar wifi issues and over time Rikomagic, Ugoos, etc improved the wifi issues.

However with that said. Most people seriously using wifi have removed the antenna from inside the case. Simple way is to just take it apart and let the antenna hang out, or advanced and replaciing the antenna with a real 2.4 antenna.
There are SEVERAL posts here on how to do it.

I have had to do that to almost all my sticks to get the best wifi.

works perfect.
The video player you have in your firmware works - bsplayer etc don't. video player only has issues if files are bigger size - up to 1gb it's fine.

will download speedtest later. at the moment watching swiss TV through vpn - that needs a fairly quick connection

Did now a test to avoid the automatic standby in the settings. And the WIFI stays put (tried now for 3 hours - still working). Looks like it's not hardware related- just a piece of setting.

can i ask those that bought it, can droidmote work on this stick or what app you all use to control? Can use wired mouse?

My ROM fully supports the RK Remote app. The APK is in my ROM kit.

I also include the WiMo kernel module and server APP. I just yet to have found a client APP that works with it.

As far as droidmote, I do not know as I do not have it. I believe uinput.ko is in fact in the kernel though. Best I can say is flash the ROM and try it.

i wanted to choose this over mk808b, but seeing this wireless bug, should i still buy cx-803?

I too was wondering this. I have 4 MK808's with latest firmware and they work great but now really interested in the XC803 (found some on ****) but concerned that this item does not have air vents like the MK802. The MK808 has cooling vents on both sides of the device where as the older version did not and had over heat issues. Anyone know if the XC803 has had any heat issues ?

I cant help with shutdown button. I do not have this hardware to see if it is possible but if it is not in the kernel, nothing I can do.

As for what I have not put in the ROM.

Carrier patch for Google Play, and also Christen Tory's Gameloft patch. You will find if you try to run some gameloft games like Wonder Zoo, it will crash to the desktop and not run. I did not put this patch in yet.
Also some other tweaks here and there for streaming performance although I do not know if it is needed? Oh and also full build.prop spoofing of a Samsung device so more APPs will show in google play.

So those things are missing.
