Another clone! (CX803 - FX5) but with external antenna and reset switch button!!!

streaming performance not the greatest if file is bigger than 1gb - saw somewhere that this could related to my network though (i'm streaming from network disk - read NFS would be faster but dont see an option to connect to NFS in android - or havent found an app yet which could connect). bigger problem is that apps like bsplayer and mxplayer for some reason are not playing avi files with me (while the stock videoplayer you have does. weird)

I cant help with shutdown button. I do not have this hardware to see if it is possible but if it is not in the kernel, nothing I can do.

As for what I have not put in the ROM.

Carrier patch for Google Play, and also Christen Tory's Gameloft patch. You will find if you try to run some gameloft games like Wonder Zoo, it will crash to the desktop and not run. I did not put this patch in yet.
Also some other tweaks here and there for streaming performance although I do not know if it is needed? Oh and also full build.prop spoofing of a Samsung device so more APPs will show in google play.

So those things are missing.

I too was wondering this. I have 4 MK808's with latest firmware and they work great but now really interested in the XC803 (found some on ****) but concerned that this item does not have air vents like the MK802. The MK808 has cooling vents on both sides of the device where as the older version did not and had over heat issues. Anyone know if the XC803 has had any heat issues ?

As far i know no issue with it i have forgotten to off the power for my stick b4 for a whole night and when i realised it is still normal.So dun think have any issue with heat.

I have asked our artist Tatty to make a set of screen so you will get what he makes unless someone wants to contribute
Nothing wrong at all with Tatty's art and I love his work but offering up something new for this rom to you guys.

That is kind of secondary issue boot screen and animation aren't important at all just for a fast and stable rom.

tried vplayer and reinstalled mxplayer. vplayer has some issues with stuttering. mxplayer plays now almost fine except videos containing DTS - but that's some non-device related issue i think

It won't have overheat issue(MK808x would have that issue due to manufacturer's overclock much on the CPU, the OTG port can't provide enough voltage for a 500mAh HDD, that won't happen in cx803)
Sadly, cx803 won't have an ethernet GUI and can't try ethernet connection as MK808.

i'm ready to test (but can't test ethernet - the stick doesnt have ethernet and dont have usb based ethernet. the menu currently does show ethernet i believe - but guess not active?)

I just booted the ROM I made and the Ethernet settings I already turned on!
They are there in the menus.
Then I plugged in my Ethernet USB adapater and it also works fine!

So what is the ask? I must be missing something?

How did you expect to get Ethernet any other way without adding hardware?
