MK808 "all models" Finless 1.7

If you have the same conditions(same place,same router,etc...) and works well with 1.6 and not with 1.7a then is not hardware problem, someting is different, but we dont know what is the problem, in my situation WiFi works the same with all roms for my device(mk808b with rk903).

Except for the kernels compiled by me :banghead: no way to make rk903 works :P and I am triying.

Hi Bob,

I have a MK808B sunvell clone and just flashed it with Finless 1.7
Everything work like a charm and I feel the application getting faster than the original ROM one.
But 1 thing that I found that I got this blank display issue after using it for some times. :S
Do I need to provide you something for investigation?

Is there a way to see the mk808b as a tablet to play store? because I can not find applications such as: Videomediaset HD etc ...., if I use smartphone applications are not displayed well (I think problem between landscape and portrait).
It could usabe fingerprints of tablet 1280x720 (800) in place of that for gt-9100 (which is a smartphone).

..\MK808 Finless 1.7 ROM\FinlessROM\ folder overwrite existing kernel.img file
Run ROM Flash Tool.exe uncheck all except kernel.img. Flash.

In Bob's download there is a read me text. There are 2 build.prop's . Replace gt901 fingerprint with original should let you download from playstore . You can also send apps from one device to another with app sender. Happy Appy

I pulled the last rom for MK808B (rk903) from geekbuying: update_mk808b_box_401j1.img, I extracted the rom with "RK29xxImageTools_v2.1" and I see that the bootloader is RK30xxLoader (L)_V1.22.bin and also parameter is different by Finless.(change partition)
If I try to flash this rom, then I can return to Finless? or there will be problems with the bootloader (in the finless is 1.16) and the size of the partitions?

Timingpower RK3066 Mini PC

Just an FYI - As I posted before, I got a Timingpower RK3066 device:

I installed the Clockworkmod MK808 version on it, and subsequently used the CWM method to install the MK808B Finless 1.7 ROM.

At this point, it appears that everything is functioning. I have tried WiFi, Bluetooth, and CIFS mounts, and everything is in order! This ROM has greatly improved the experience! I used boot720p.img, btw.

One thing I am missing out on is the re-partitioning reallocation of some of the internal /sdcard space to /data. If anyone knows how to re-partition this space via a CMW installable zip, please do share!

exactly what I do and it always = in a bootloop I am starting to think my device is to blame :P although 2dar4u kernel works perfectly

It's not possible. Only a NAND erase and flash from the flash tool will change the partitioning of NAND.

Yep - the first couple of times I tried it with the flashtool, it didn't work, though. That was the reason I tried the CWM method. I may give the flashtool another try, though. Only 1GB of /data space is pretty unbearable.

EDIT: I just flashed with RKTools and partitioning worked fine. Internal Storage is now 1.97GB and NAND FLASH is 685MB. This rocks! Now to try restoring my data backup w/ CWM.

wallpaper dissapears after shutdown

has anyone had any issue with the shutdown capability? After a shut down the next time i start up the mk808 my live wallpaper is gone and i have to set it again... Also is there anyway to set HDMI as the primary output?

I have one question for bob...
I'm Just currious but wouldn't be easier to make one roms for all 3 variants of mk808(b)(fake) with drivers for all hardwares in the same roms, than make 3 roms every time?
