Hello to all and thanks Petrus for your work getting this together. I have been running both this kernel and the previous one based on Finless 1.2b as well.
I am trying for the first time to compile my own kernel for the X5. I need to turn on HDMI debugging since my TV seems to crash my Neo when it is powered up. Anyhow, I would like to install my compiled kernel via CWM.
I have been reading up on this and I find references to having to update boot.img from an existing CWM backup with the new, compiled kernel.img. Seems like no matter what tools I try to use to perform this task I get failures saying there is no Android magic in the boot.img file (which have taken from a CWM backup from my Neo running the kernel posted here).
In reading about this issue they say there should be ANDROID! near the front of boot.img. But I don't see that in either the boot.img taken from the backup or the boot.img included in your CWM zips.
So I am stumped and wondering if something has changed or is different on the Neo. If you can shed some light on this, it would be of great help to me. No idea how to proceed at this point.
Thanks!
