De-bloating my 1.4 ROMs for all tablets I have done so far!

hello please help me I am from Greece and I have the ((dual touch resistive 8g2 8giga)) arnova and made a terrible mistake I upgraded the device software for 8g2 and the touch screen does not work. please if is possible to help me because I have no money to buy new and I needit for my work thanks in advance

You need to have the original firmware for your tablet and looking at the Arnova website there is not one that you can download

What you need is for somebody with your model to dump the firmware off there tablet so a Rom can be made for you

Hi, I think this is not the best place to get help on an arnova 8g2 tablet. I may be wrong, but I think Finless Bob didn't make a rom for the 8g2.

If you did not want to if through all that than take it back to where you bought it from and plead ignorance, don't say you have loaded anything on it. From my experience Arnova don't even bother looking at faulty tablets they just replace them no questions asked

with a quick look on this site, sowa seems to have cooked some custom roms for your model.
And, if you still want to use your tablet without the sensitive screen, try to plug a usb mouse. That is not very comfortable, but better than nothing. I tried it and it worked with my 10g2.

And then you could take it back to the support for an exchange, if your warrenty period has not expired.

Maybe you did not read my full post about NAND and fragmentation!



No offense to you Harold but do some studies on NAND memory... One of the things I did in 1.3 ROM that Kasty has still not done, is blocking. Spend some time and learn.... Again no offense to you but honestly... Your not getting the point of having a clean setup with no fragmentation vs user choice and fragmenting NAND thus loosing performance! It's better to start out unfragmented and "add" than start out and remove and have NAND fragmentation!



Sorry thats the way it is going to be. Daman does nice screens IMHO. The team here deserves the credit. What you may call a billboard others like! YOU CANNOT PLEASE ALL THE PEOPLE! However, if you learn to take a ROM apart, you can remove any of that. Until then I am sorry to say, don't bitch about a ROM that gives you what it does and ask for things that really does not matter! I mean come on? If that is your only complaint..... Figure it out and remove it if it is that important to you!

IMHO Bob is right its his ROM so he can put whatever splash screen he wants on it. If you donot like it, youcan learn how to make your own ROM's and put whatever you like for a splash. I don't want to seem rude, but whom ever builds the ROM should have the right to this. Its not like they are charging for this.

May I be so bold as to request the debloating continues, as the Morka/Finless ROM looks the part, it has its issues. The finless ROM does look mildly dated in comparison but it is far more solid, so how about making that one better.

I liked the Morka/Finless ROM for about 2 days now I am flashing back to 1.4.

Petrus is working on post install scripts so you guys can just run it, it will ask you app by app which to install so you can pick and choose the stock apps you want. They will go directly in as system apps too.

For the 10G2 I will be using the new Philly Kernal and updated support files. I have actually been running it for a few days now. So both the philly guys and non-Philly will get the same ROM and choose what gets installed.

Should be kinda cool no?

The kernel from the PMN updated firmware which Bob put in his 1.4 for PMN tablet is discernibly better than the kernel in the original firmware. Issues with spontaneous loss of the microsd card are gone, and the tablet feels overall much more smooth in its operation.
