Mac you have done what the chipset manufacture should have my hats off to the work you have put into this release. Very impressive. I am sure ugoos will adopt your fixes and being able to update as well wow. I don't know how many here will benifit from this but I for one am very happy to see this release I'll start testing on my Ugoos and mk902ii and post results Rockchip hang your head in shame and bow to Mac!
Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

I don't know what box your using and I have yet to try this rom. But in Ugoos' Linux version there is a menu item called "Ugoos Settings", if you are looking for screen scaling, it should be under that menu. As I said, not having tried it yet, I don't know for sure.
      Good luck.

        Well said. Agree 100%
Would also like salute the companies, or their employees, that have the good sense to support Mac on his project.

          Will look at it thanks.

Have anyone test the ethernet and can confirm that it work on Linux version?

You have to use a init.rc script to fit the display on the screen or a new kernel.
Can also use UGOOS Scaler but it's not present in the firmware.
I will try to release a new ROM when I have tested more things.

For Android yes, not 100% sure it it boot, but it should work.
But won't solve Linux problem, since that requires another kernel in linux_boot.

Just wondering if an overclock would help kodi and general linux performance?

If you experience performance problems in linux (like audio stuttering in Youtube or Kodi) you can try to set the cpu governor to performance:
                        open a terminal window:
                        $sudo su
                        root@ugoos:~# echo performance > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
This will set the cpu clock to maximum (but it does not enable overclocking).
So out of the box your RK3288-SOC cpu will then run at 1.8 GHz and will not switch down to lower frequencies.

                          cheers, will test that later.

Any plans to compile Firefox/Chrome browser with lybhybris support for smooth video playback in a browser?
Maybe MPlayer for local video playback?
Other apps with EGL support for GPU acceleration and smooth scrolling?

It's a rom working kodi for ugoos test and report back findings but Mac did it.
Why are you reposting the opening thread?
