Update: Also tried in mount manager, it freezes the device as well =/. I tried pointing both manually to the cifs/md4/tun ko files but that results in the same as manually insmoding from terminal

I feared that might be a problem.
The kernel sources used to compile this was for dual core MK808.
While it inmods OK, it is obviously not working.
I will let Leolas know about it and maybe he can figure it out.
"Forgive them as they know not what they do"

Additionally, there seems to be nothing in the dmesg or logcat pertaining to this.. I do get a lot of fb_errors, but that is nothing to do with the cifs/md4 inclusion.
No input on insmod, rmmod to logfiles.
I do not have a way to catch the snapshot of logfile, when I click on cifs manager to mount, just before hanging...

wifi and time settings
this thread may have already ended, but since i am still using the 1.4a, i figured i'd report that wifi stopped working after a sudden reboot. my 1 year old got ahold of the wireless keyboard for aprox. 15 seconds... that's enough time in baby years to do a lot of damage.
nothing would open, pandora, netfix, youtube, google play, but browser worked, except there were certificate errors. also i noticed that apps were updating on their own automatic schedule. then i noticed the time was wrong and went into time settings, and it was way off, by years even. then the browser certificate erros made sense, since they are only vaalid for a certain time window.
anyhow, i corrected the time zone and time, and wifi kicked in again.
i'm not sure if this has been an issue for anyone else, so i'm throwing it in.

Re: UPDATED 5_21 - Tronsmart t428 Android 4.1.1 - Finless ROM 1.4a
Had some time to play around tonight and used a bunch of different apps and players. While pretty much all of them had some lag or skipping plex did not. It works flawlessly on all my 720p movies streamed from my pc. I suggest you try it over xbmc!

Best ROM for stability

Thx..
I'm anxious for any updates. But I am happy with this ROM for the fact that it is stable (primarily because Netflix works - though it is a little rough around the edges. only a little, but still it is there)
However, I will wait to purchase another device until an updated and stable ROM is available.
This is my favorite ROM and I will just keep using it until I see any promising updates on the 1.5a or future ROMs.

As with T428 Finless 1.5a this drops connection to bluetooth airmouse and wifi constantly.
Still cannot find a single Rk3188/AP6330 ROM that works with an Airmouse/WiFi properly.Measy U4B (=Tronsmart T428) used by my kids!
