Just wanted to ask if this Rom is specifically for the MK808b? I mean what is the difference between the MK808b and the MK808b - plus. I also found some kitkat cyanogenmod roms for the MK808b plus. Can those be applied to the MK808b. Finless rom is based on 4.2.2 any thoughts maybe for a kitkat upgade?

Bob:
The busybox you are using has two defects:
1) it is statically compiled, rather than compiled against Android libc, and thus more that twice the size it needs to be.
2) it is not compiled against Android versions of the Bind utilities which differ from those of standard Linux, and thus busybox applets that need to do a DNS lookup will fail -- for example "busybox wget http://www.google.com" will fail with "bad address."
I have provided a link to my own cache of ARM + Android utilities at http://www.vkfox.com/android/bin-arm6. Find there a busybox.bin that is free of these defects and otherwise has a very similar feature set. I have some blog posts at http://androidcommandline.apps-1and1.com that discuss non-root installation and use of these utilities.
And, of course, thanks for all your work.

when i posted it had not yet arrived from china. the seller posted this in his description on ****:MK808B Bluetooth Android 4.4 Mini PC TV Box Stick Dual Core 8GB Cortex A9 .
i'll open it up to verify wifi chip, it has this:

Did any newer releases of Netlix work properly with the 2.1 ROM? Would this ROM allow installing Kodi 15? I have an original MK808B. Currently running finless 1.7.

I have an original MK808B and I am using Finless 2.1. Just curious why I have no Lock Screen option in my Android Settings? Can't find "Sleep" either? These features seem pretty important to me, did it somehow save on specs to remove them? Is there any way to put them back (without re-flashing my device) so my Android device will function the way it is supposed to?

All the power saving features in the world don't mean anything if I have to keep my MK808B up and running 24/7. Plugging it into my TV won't work (even though it absolutely *should*) because my TV shuts off every 2 hours to spare the screen, and I can't have the MK808B being shut off automatically every 2 hours. I wouldn't mind leaving the screen on all day (wasting power, but hey at least the damn thing would work) with the MK808B, but then I get burn-in because I have no screen lock.Last edited by rrdein; 05 August 2015, 21:40.

I can no longer boot my MK808b into flash mode, since upgrading my computers to Windows 10. When I try the 'hard' method of inducing flash mode (ie hold reset button on MK808b while plugging in USB cable), all I get is a Windows error message:
"USB device not recognised. The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognise it". (screen grab attached)
The MK808b does not appear in the Windows Device Manager list.
Have experienced the same issue on 2 Windows10 machines (32 bit & 64 bit).
****Has anyone had any luck with inducing flash mode on a Win10 computer?
I need to re-flash the ROM cos the device is now stuck in a start-up loop following a normal power cycle. (this is the second time this &%^&$# piece of $%#@ has had this problem since flashing to Finless 2.1. Is this a device or ROM problem?)
