The original is not manufactured anymore. You have to be very lucky to find a seller that has it still in stock.

Is there a way to flash Finless ROM 2.1 using Mac OSX (10.6.8.) ?

I'm stuck with only a Mac for a couple of weeks, and need to flash Finless 2.1. Rom to my mk808b
So how can i do it on Mac OSX ?

Wifi Not Working Using MK808b ROM

I flashed my Android Dongle (http://web.natec-europe.com/Z17900_46149.pdf) with the MK808-B ROM.

Basically I've read that this is not for clone devices - still I wanted to give it a try.

Well - it worked pretty fine and my device is able to boot.
BUT
Trying to turn on WiFi the device is frozen. Even after starting the device again.
Any chance for support/hints?

(Opening my device I see that there are "Nanya"/"SK hynix" chips inside)

Your device is not even a MK808(B), i don't know why you thought a mk808B ROM will work on this. From the outside it looks like a cx-803, maybe you should search for a ROM in the cx subforum: http://www.freaktab.com/forumdisplay...-CX-TV-Players

Hi , Thank you for your fantastic rom! I just have one doubt: I need to be able to rotate the screen when pressing a button in an app. I have implemented the solution, it works in a tablet , but it doesn't using this finless rom. I have tried modifying the build prop , but then the solution is not dynamic... Is there any change I can do to modify the rom , or something that allows the android tv to be able to rotate dynamically? Thanks!

There is an exposed module called "App Settings" where you can set a forced rotation for individual apps. I have not tried it on the mk808b though.

Thank your for your answer . I am going to try it right now , but I have already tried all the rotation screen aps without luck , so maybe this will be the same , but you never know! I will let you know when i figure out how to install this app , thanks again!

Hi friend, i coukd help you with that.... as bob said in his first post : this rom is for mk808b original only. not for clone like sunvel model..

original have rk901 wifi chip and i see you have a rtl8723bs wifi chip so you got a clone.

You got the new mk808b v5, here's a rooted firmware

Use the RK Batch tool to flash this firmware on the new v5 MK808B. Load the firmware files and press restore.

This clone has the same WIFI chip but is not a V5 (totally different PCB).
This Firmware is for you:

You may also have messed up your NAND by flashing a wrong bootloader, so if flashing keeps failing with the right firmware, you have to short pin 8&9 on your NAND chip as described to this guide: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...D-on-the-MK808
