So far so good... Copied the OpenELEC update zip over to the sdcard, unzipped into the root and then ran the system update from the sdcard. EASY... I will update over the weekend once I get Kodi configured and have played a few movies...

Got to change the TronSmart boot screen....

Thanks. Should Openelec appear to work without issue, will it will be possible to dual boot Android/ Openelec in the future?

Not sure maybe, OpenELEC is very good so far. Clearer picture and great speed. Only issue is with 5G slow performance, 2.5 works fine and is fast...

Hello. Im very sorry about late replay. My findings so far:

-i have problems with video flashes thru my avr denon 1311. (image flikers sometimes).
-DTS TRUE HD not working (passthrough). DTS & AC3 works.
-x265 with multiple channels (aac 5.1) plays but no sound.
-on movies with nonstandard fps (video is jerky ) same as android kodi. On my mediaplayer with sigma design soc ,it plays ok.

Didn;t find this as a better alternative to android kodi.

Hope this helps a little, and again sorry for late report.

                      Yours

That's unfortunate, seems there are mixed reviews. For DTS HD and True HD, also Dolby Digital there is H revision of AMLogic S812 SoC called S812-H.

You need to enable transcoding to get multichannel aac working. Thats pretty much always been the case.
