Kodi has lots of nice addons. So many, that I did not restore from a prior version. I am building on this base.

The only issue that I am finding is the LED is on when the unit is put to sleep. Not a big issue.

JM... Nice work... Using TWRP for the install is really straight forward. I appreciate your efforts.

Are you using stock rom or 1.5 justme firmware...Or else?
What Imean is TWRP from stock rom or 1.5 JM firmware?

I dropped back to the original S802 ROM to get the TWRP to boot from the toothpick method in order to install 1.9. Once 1.9 was installed, I installed the recovery.img in TWRP to be able to recover (install 1.9c) via TWRP in Recovery. JM's departure from standard Android recovery to TWRP takes some getting used to, but works better than the standard Android, in my opinion.

I'd skip step 2. Just go from stock to 1.9c. As long as you have the TWRP recovery.img on your SD card, no need to go to 1.9.

The only thing we been stuck is STEP8 to STEP9 in this link http://www.mediafire.com/view/wbv78u...Dummies_v1.pdf
              "Won't detect External SD card" , we tried SD 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB...No luck...Hummm

                Hear is the weird issue
                1. With SD card insertion, M8 box detected and boot to TEAMWIN (Tooth method)
                2. SD card still in M8Box
                3. Then go to Step8 to Step9
                4. "Won't detect SD card..." (Something wrong in TWRP???)

                  JustMe

                  A. recovery.image (ext-SD).........TWRP folder in internal storage

Stock rom====>TWRP=======>Won't see any folder on Internal storage

                  B. recovery.image (ext-SD).........TWRP folder in USB

Stock rom====>TWRP=======>Won't see any folder on USB

                  C. recovery.image (ext-SD).........TWRP folder included

Stock rom====>TWRP=======>Won't see any folder on Ex-SD

What good on this weird tool? Why I have to spend too much time with it?

td.. Mounting a USB drive within TWRP does not work. Everything has to be on the SD card. Once you boot into TWRP, and do a restore of 1.9c, TWRP will find the backup subdirectory. I have done this multiple times. TWRP does take some time to get used to its ins and outs. I think that it is superior to the command line Android recovery utility.

If doing a toothpick boot and you do not get TWRP menu, then there is something wrong with your recovery.img

We can get into TWRP main menu, but when select External SD then nothing show below (Subdirectory), We wait almost three minutes still no luck
there is a chance, can you share recovery.img up here (the one work for you)....

JustMe will this be made public to the people that didn't donate? I'm on finless rom but the speed is capped. I want to have my box take advantage of my high speed Internet. Will your rom give that? Another question I have is why using ethernet is to possible to have 2 dns. So I can use my dns? Thanks alot

@cmac one day they will become public but , unfortunately not now as it wouldn't be fair for the people who have subscribed and paid.

what do you mena by 2 dns are you talking about vpn if so yes it does have that option to add extra set

JustMe that's fine I can wait. I mean when using ethernet and editing the connection there's only one option to put in one dns and not two. Whereas if was to wireless connection I can add to dns lines. Does this make sense. I want to use my dns that I pay for and add the two lines which are 185.37.37.37 and 185.37.37.185.

In external SD card I have
TWRP folder extracted and recovery.img (was rename from TWRP_2.8.7.0_k200.img)

Nothing else in this SD card...(See #142 above)
