I have two identical MXQ Pro 4K boxes which came preloaded with android 4, Kodi and a bunch of other apps. Once they were hooked up and powered
up they installed Lollipop 5.1 and seem to work rather nice except for one annoying aspect - I can not access a USB stick to back up to. No matter which slot
I use, and I tried 4 different USB flash drives on both boxes - I always get access denied. The flash drives are fine and NOT in read only mode. This is starting to look like
a firmware issue. Anyone seen this issue before I start to go back to the seller? I really don't have any complaints but the lack of USB support - especially since there are 4 ports,
is a deal breaker for me. All Kodi apps related to backing up to USB fail because of this too. Any thoughts are appreciated! Thanks!!

Hello,it no box issue ,i have same problem as u before ,i cannot save my file to sd card using kodi ,after some found this couse the problem with android 4 kitkat ,
Go play store found app call sdfix or similar app to fix it.

i'm using the stock firmware with kodi 16.1 rc

I succed to update with a good version of Cd burning rom (put image in licence directory to avoid "key failed")
Don't notice any change....

I still have an issue with external_sd path to use SPMC with data on external SD.

Recieved MXQ PRO 4k p201 today with 201603 firmware LMY47V and 201603 kernel 3.14.29. Iminix_u1_ez_root succeeded. I notice this is 32bit software (albeit 64bit hardware). First impressions are good. I see plenty /data/system/dropbox/system_app_crash@*txt generated by process com.google.android.gms though.
Is OpenELEC S905 64bit?
