Tronsmart Vega s95 Amlogic s905 Series: Pro, Meta and Telos

Firmware update available Tronsmart S95 Vega Telos, others to follow

You can get the latest firmware via OTA update. We have pushed to telos users first, and then Meta, Pro users.
OTA update procedures:
1.) All Apps -> Update & Backup App -> Click ” Online Update”
Or Settings -> More Setting -> About Mediabox -> System Update
2.) Confirm to update and let the system to reboot and complete the update process
If your device hasn't get notice, please be patience, our server will push that update soon.
Here is the changelog:
1 Added USB Joystick support, tested with Xbox 360 wired game controller;
2 Support iOS9 Airplay, including screen mirror; (go to media centre App, turn on airplay)
3 Fixed stock IR remote control Home Button problem, (Stopped all background applications when pressed.)
4 Fixed Tronsmart air mouse TSM01 Home Button problem, (Opened internet browser),
5 Fixed A few HDMI-CEC bugs
6 Fixed File copy permission problems, (ES File Explorer)
7 Fixed Google services/apps related problem (Google+, Google Play Games, etc.)
8 Fixed screen resolution changing to 720p after restart.
8 Other optimization, including launcher, app compatibility etc.
We still have DTS/AC3 Pass-through dropouts, our engineers are working hard with vidOn to resolve this issue, please be patient and, we hope to have this resolved next update.

The google play store still keeps crashing when using sixaxis app so still more work to be done

Also if you try & change the input setting to a Bluetooth keyboard google play services will crash

I'm very happy with this Tv Android, but there's one thing annoying, I own the Telos edition, with Sata Hard Disk, when the box in on standby and off, the HDD is always running, do you know a way to stop the HDD from receiving power, hence shutting down together with the box, and turning on with the box.

Did u try with 2.5 hdd too, same problem with it, tronsmart doesnt see it as a problem, they offered 10 sec holding on remote control power button for hard power off. İ tried that but s95 rebooted.

İ got himedia q10 ii and m8s+ too, same hdd always started to work when boxes powered on and stoped when boxes powered off by just 1 click on remote control, s95 is strange

I have a SSD in the Sata port, no power supply to SSD, hold power button 10 seconds off.
Short push power off also ok.
Sometimes things just are not made to work together.

Anytime the LED on the front is on, red or blue, the USB ports receive 5vdc. Since the Telos uses a USB to SATA bridge, maybe this keeps the SATA drive powered.
I do not have the Telos, but the Meta does a hard shut down if the remote's power button is pressed for 10+ seconds and released it as soon as the display shuts off. This is the only thing that truely shuts the box off, i.e. no LED, no 5vdc at the USB ports.

Mine is telos 10sec tip doesnt work

Are you sure about that, I have the telos & holding to power for about 10 sec shuts mine down altogether (No LED)

The USB cable connection issue you have would seem to be an ill fitting port or cable. Is that all USB ports or just one?
The box will power on in the normal way from hard off, evidently the IR RX and PMD stay hot even when in hard off.

I have just tested a USB HDD in all 3 ports (1 TB Sata in a USB 3 Caddy) Hard power off works all the time.
If you can borrow a friends external HDD and try to see what it does may help to resolve the issue you have.

All usb ports same.....
Same hdd same cable with my other boxes no problem like that i just plug once....but on telos i must take good care when i am plugging the cable to usb port and with a little move no power to hdd

That's strange it should not do that even if I hold the power button for 30 sec it will still shut down not reboot

If you try with nothing in USB ports does it Hard Power Off

Same here iv just tried a 1TB usb hard drive in all ports & the telos will still power down no LED
