I think it is a software issue, related to mali-hdmi output drivers probably

if not, how could be possible that only moving the pointer increase the smoothness?

energy saving parameters (if is that) are software controlled, the pointer 'stand-by' is also software controlled

peraphs the walkaround suggested by a user of freaktab (I dont remember the nick), keeping the pointer alive is the fastest for now (not elegant but functionally)

I also investigated in hdmi transmitter it66121 without success, in theory is the same trasmitter used in the rk3066 compiled to work with these devices but no video issues in the old mk808 (could be that the same compiled with sdk 2.0 works better?)

no gino, I also think so, but unfortunately it is not.

the rk3066 not use the it66121 hdmi transmitter. you can see the kernel .config and the different kernel source code.

and i already tested the new mali drivers inside the new sdk 2. don't solve the problem.

i can make a little tool that update the mouse automatically, but is not a serious solution.

Rockchip, at this point, must intervene to solve the problem.

Apart of this i have sdk 2 working on T428. Full working.

For now in all my roms i use the original T428 kernel.

The problem is different. The video problem is in the kernel, but the bad news is that also with a new kernel compatible (N90 Kernel - made exclusively for the sdk 2 that work on T428) the problem of video is still present.

          For Neomade:

The Nexus rom is in the first post. (very good rom for daily usage)

An experimental rom with sdk 2 derived from cube U30Gt2 made in 5 minutes only to test the video problem is this (the rom is not complete only to test video problem, but the audio, wifi and all basic part are working): <DELETED>

In my hard-drive i have many roms with sdk 2 working very well on T428, but i use the original kernel of T428 and for this reason the video problem is present.

In little time i can make a new Nexus rom with sdk 2. But i hope in a good kernel without the video problem. (that for now is impossible)

Neomade, i have a problem, i can't edit the first post to continue update it with usefull stuff.
That kernel wasnt made for out device, thats why it doesnt work right. Even with the sdk 1.0 roms if it was a rom with the kernel in the boot.img (like the n90 /cube roms) it wouldnt boot without offering a jittery UI and crappy video unless t428 kernel was used. Its the same for these sdk 2.0 roms, the only ones that will work good for us and boot are the roms that do not have the kernel in the boot.img a.k.a the pipo roms, but we will need to use our own kernel based on sdk 2.0 and we just dont have that right now. The 2.0 sdk has def changed something specific to certain devices considering none of the stock boot.img / kernel.img from the pipo roms will allow us to boot the rom now but they would with the 1.0 sdk.

Stuttering happens on all rk3188 devices I have read numerous reviews of users of the n90, cube u30gt2, and pipo tablets all having crappy video playback while playing HD mkv files. This has nothing to do with an HDMI transmitter, if that was the case flashing the stock cube 2.0 rom would offer crappy video playback (since it uses HDMI output to display on TV), but instead it offers PERFECT video playback (as expected) minus working audio. This is flat out just a kernel issue, we need an official tronsmart kernel built specifically for our device.

            ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is SDK 2.0 rom based off of pipo u8 tablet ive been using for a week now. Has all the same features as nexus rom but uses modified system img from the 2.0 sdk pipo rom + kernel and keychar/layout from the t428. Wifi and bluetooth is working perfect, video is pretty good but jitter is still present like all other roms, in theory soon as we get a new kernel we should just need to drop it in and all will be working.

playing HD mkv files is another story. The jitter video problem is different.

In the Nexus rom i can play hd video with mx player without problems, but when there are panning scenes you can see the video jitter problem. (Only in some videos)

Also with the cube original kernel and original system img i have the video jitter problem. On T428.

              All can test.

Yea same difference, it is def. most noticeable in panning scenes. With the original stock cube rom I have PERFECT video playback when comparing same scene to that of the nexus rom. There were two other peolpe who tested the stock cube rom on the t428 as well and both said they gained performance increases w/ video. You might wanna give it a second try because I have flashed it many times and tested with different videos just to make sure I wasnt seeing things and it DEFINTETLY fixes the panning jitter/micro stutter or whatever you wanna call it, there just is no working audio or USB hub support which makes it useless outside of video.

Nonsense. From one that don't understand nothing.

If you study you can understan how sepatate kernel and boot img.

Why you want write nosense in this thread ?

Ok, dude, stop acting like you are a god and quit trying to bash others. All you do is cut and paste pipo roms together. You literally don't develop shit yourself you are just a copy and past artist so get off the high horse. Its seriously hilarious how you hold yourself in such high regard in comparison to others when you don't do anything that any average joe couldn't themselves.

But i understand what i do. You no.

I appreciate just a matter of what you write. When you write the links of new roms

The problem with you is that every your posts is full of nonsense. And i understand well that you mind is confused.

All developers can understand. Sorry but it is the truth.

I have the problem of being sincere.
                      Sorry.

All developers can undestand. Sorry but it is the truth.

                        Sorry.
I hope you aren't calling yourself a developer HA, because the only thing you have developed is a sense of being better or smarter then others when you really are not and don't do anything special. You are clearly the type of person that has to be right so you know what cut and past master of freaktab, you are right. I hope you feel better about yourself again now Now go and cut and paste some more roms together that fix nothing and waste our time some more! GJ!

No i don't call myself devoloper for the work on this rom, infact we don't have source code of the chinese android on this devices.

I call myself developer for the many tools and programs that i write in many languages every day as my primary work. Real work not this hobby.

A real developer must write source code, in this case we are cooking roms

My only interest is to show the differences from real Android rom and chinese Android rom.

                          Only this.

Everyone can get my work, copy and paste and share. Not problem.

Now you sound like a regular person, you should really try acting like a human being more often The pedestal you have placed yourself on recently is retarded and unnecessary.

I'm sorry but I get nervous when someone writes things that are patently inaccurate and full of errors. But in the end who deserves my contempt is not you but the bad developers of Rockchip

Tronsmart and Geekbuying are only others victim of Rockchip.

If in 7 days we don't have a solution from Rockchip we can organize a request of refund for all rk3188 android hdmi sticks sold.

I want another odroid x2 as refund

I didnt write a single thing that was inaccurate? You are saying the n90 kernel and the sdk 2.0 in general is no good at fixing video when that damn kernel wasnt even made for our device lol. Using that kernel the t428 gets hot like its gonna explode, the UI is laggy, the aspect ratio is all screwed, and tons of features are missing and non working - just like EVERY other rom cube you have created which has stock kernel in the boot.img - which is exactly why your fake nexus rom uses the pipo as base - because kernel is not in boot.img and it offers smooth everything. YET you still think the non-standard n90 kernel is supposed to work wonders on a device it wasnt even made for lol thats just stupid. You are far from an expert, or an authority on these forums so I dont take much of what you have to say serious because you just dont know much more then anyone else like you think you do.

If you wanna do a test to prove your own stupidty. Flash a cube sdk 1.0 rom without switching out the kernel / boot.img from the t428 and see how laggy it is and how hot the device gets. After that flash a pipo sdk 1.0 rom with kernel not in the boot.img and watch how smooth it is and how cool it runs.
