By the way, since there is no clear winner for the mk908 today, and one 'loser' (test 3), I am reverting to your original (mk908-kernel).
when i eneble it on t428 i have a slight decrease on videos. the best for t428 is the kernel strauzo_video_bluetooth_standby without "best fit" (i use my tv menu to fit the screen)
do you want a version without best fit ?

for t428 owner:
for the t428 the kernel strauzo_video_bluetooth_standby is 8/10 in all and is good. confirm ?
HI, test video in 1080P 50Hz
Tronsmart T428 Android 4.2.2 - Finless ROM 1.5A + kernel strauzo_video_bluetooth_standby "in TRONSMART T428"
( on video SDcard ext, player video natif ( 3/10 ) video " h264_1080p_hp_4.1_40mbps_birds.mkv "
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
T428 Nexus 06.15 + kernel strauzo_video_bluetooth_standby "in TRONSMART T428"
( on video SDcard ext, player video natif ( 3/10 ) video " h264_1080p_hp_4.1_40mbps_birds.mkv "
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CX919_4.2.2_Finless_14 + kernel strauzo_video_bluetooth_standby "in TRONSMART T428"
( on video SDcard ext, player video natif ( 8/10 ) video " h264_1080p_hp_4.1_40mbps_birds.mkv "
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I confirm the KERNEL "kernel strauzo_video_bluetooth_standby" is good. ( in CX919 )
for all video in streaming 10/10
PS :
Therefore, no one said that the best ROM in the Tronsmart T428 is "CX919_4.2.2_Finless_14" for the video.do the test with the CX919_4.2.2_Finless_14 + kernel strauzo_video_bluetooth_standby "in TRONSMART T428" and see the difference.

Generally speaking on my 908, video has not been an issue for me with any of these (except 3, which didn't work). It's always very smooth and better than anything else out there. But wifi has gone down the tubes...see other posts which indicate the same.
I am now on Finless 4.1.1 with mk908-kernel. Video is again great, ping times are the best yet (29 msecs compared to 80 plus on 4.2.2 roms). But wifi download speed is still in the 8 mbps range compared to an all-time high of 29mbps on CX919 with Finless 1.5 kernel.
Eric, please warn GeekBuying that I am organizing a massive RMA airlift for the 908... we should send these problem children back to reform school en masse.

the last kernel for mk908 for today test4 otg + video + no-fit wifi ?
to test wifi, i suggest a rom without ehomediacenter inside after you have restarted your router
(ehomemediacenter can create problem to your router. )
and the best test is the time for copy a big file in local network.
youtube logically should not have problems even with files in hd (wifi streaming)
if you have a good phone, try a comparison with the same conditions.
tomorrow I will read carefully all your comments.
often in the comments there are solutions.
each observation in this case is good.

First thank you strauzo for your firmware.
I installed yesterday on my CX 919 your firmware (mk908-strauzo-kernel-08.07-2013#10.rar) on a Finless 1.4 4.2.2 ROM.
The video playback is pretty smooth now, exept still some lags (video in my SD card or USB storage) on 720p and 1080p on MX player, maybe i need to change for a better media player?)
The BT work good. The wifi is connected (i see 54MBPS) but like Zahir, the speed is very very slow now, 5 hours for downloading an application (2~5 ko/sec), so i can't use Youtube too. Sometime, the Wifi look really good (300ko/sec) but for 2 minutes only and dropped very fast subsequently.
The CX919 doesn't heat so much, even when i play a 720p video, a really good point.
Thanks you again for your work, and if you need more information or test some kernel, i'm here.
The micro stuttering is gone. 720 playback over wi-fi is smooth. 1080p struggles both over wi-fi, ethernet and locally. I'm using MX Player Pro.
Other than that, everything seems nice. No problems with Bluetooth either.
I will update this post after I have done some testing transferring files over wi-fi.
EDIT:
Speedtest.net app reports 16461kbps download and 23302kbps upload over wi-fi.
Over ethernet, it reports 60mbps both up and down, which is the maximum speed provided by my ISP.
Transferring a file from my local file server to the device using ES File Explorer (over SMB protocol) caps out at around 9mbps.
EDIT2:
Just tried test4 kernel, seems to give same results as above in regards to transfer speeds.Last edited by Sqrpush; 09 July 2013, 22:12.

I can no longer update my first post, otherwise it would have been useful to collect all test kernel on a page.
we should organize the work in a different way, otherwise this thread is very difficult to read.
should be good one page for all testing things (firmware and kernel) and in another thread discussions and comments.

I have MELE F10 fly mouse, on the "T428 Android 4.2.2 - Finless ROM 1.5A" the right mouse button works perfect as the back/return function but on the "T428 Nexus 6.15.2013 ROM" it doesn't. Why?
How can I fix this ? I also tried to remap the keys with this article "http://javadump.wordpress.com/2013/04/17/mapping-keys-for-the-mele-f10-for-android-4-2-2/" but it doesn't work for me on my T428 stick. Maybe somebody knows how to fix this ?

Also, is there an IRC channel where people from Freaktab usually hang out in?

Test4 mk908 kernel with finless rom 1.4 works fine. Wifi transfer is good, video is good with mxplayer. I tested with xbmc libstagefright beta but it plays files faster than normal , quite strange (it seems it's a known bug).
I didn't test the kernel with finless rom 1.5 where wifi speed drops with other kernels.
As lukesan said wifi speed is good with older kernels and finless rom 1.4 .
The only problem of 1.4 is that you can't scale hdmi output nor simply choose 1080p or 720p.Last edited by BillMaudit; 09 July 2013, 22:44.
