Recent apps are upside down lol, settings apk icon is fuglyyy - I made one a few weeks ago that uses the same settings apk but with the stock settings icon, heres a link if you wanna use it - https://www.dropbox.com/s/7kqeeai6r1302vz/Settings.apk. You should also change the default rotation locker app to "Adaptive Roation locker" instead - it has auto start up so you dont have to open the rotation locker app every time you restart. Heres a link to the newest 4.3 camera/gallery sdk too - https://www.dropbox.com/s/gjbsje1qlk...v1.1.40012.apk. & last recommendation but certainly not least In build.prop you should also change ro.sf.fakerotation to falseand ro.sf.hwrotation to 360 - that way it defaults to landscape orientation instead of portrait on lockscreen. All in all - this rom is good but feels the same as the original nexus rom to me, I like the google edition boot animation though

Alpha 2 is useless for those who plug the stick in tv. That damn CONNECT TO PC is still on. Whorse in the setting no USB so we can't turn it OFF. So all usb stuff is a wreck, unable to play from usb stick.

I did not understand what you said. I have alpha 2 plugged in my tv and i can do all that i want. this rom is very very fast. I like it.

When the stick start it ask me if I want use usb connect . It see my tv as a computer and usb connect is on. The problem is at that point all other usb memory card are not working. Usuly in setting there is a USB setting (connect to pc) and I have to uncheck, then I plug a usb memory stick and it work. Most of firmware I have no problem since it doesn't do that, it doesn't see my tv as a pc. In fact that happen with your kernel or firmware.

i have a samsung smart tv that have the same feautures, but when i connect the t428 on the usb of my tv i don't see that request. specially in alpha 2 version. what is your tv ? i think you can change this in build.prop or you can use the external power supply or you can play with the settings of your tv.

try also to change usb port of your tv, there should be one without this function.

by default this rom have developer debug active and mass storage disabled. it strange.

in this moment to test i attached the tv stick to my pc and i don't see mount point.

i can only if i start moborobo or via adb can copy files.

Yes for Netflix i know what is the problem. you can unlock the decoder having a key that Pipo is providing. (apart using workaround)

you must insert this key (generated from the serial number of your tablet) that pipo send to you via email in the app ProductCertificateService.apk tha i removed. i think that if you insert the key in this app, all the apps that use the new google drm can work well. include Netflix.

This is a great new bullshit created by rockchip, that instead of solving the problems of the devices it sells, it also begins to put strange limitations.

Many Chinese devices, as most of the android mini pc, are devices not google certified.
only a few manufacturers such as pipo are beginning to certify their devices.
Since the rom may be compatible from one rk3188 device to another, for this reason they started to protect with keys the functions that certified by google. (i think)

In a nutshell, I was right, our android hdmi sticks, are not certified by google, the rom created for these devices are full of garbage, and if we do not bring the rom from the certified tablet, we will never have good android devices in which all apps from google play are compatible.

Everything is very clear, the Chinese had only thought of creating and sell hardware and then steal rom.

But Google did this great gift.

Your are right Strauzo!

By the fact they steal from each other, none of chinese maker are working on solution since they just wait someone find answer. Also they port rk30xx from a rk29xx and try to port rk31xx from that. So all garbage from the past stay in there firmware. I have a asus memo pad smart 10 and it work 1000% more fast and smooth with software update and genuine software like camera far better. I think rockchips acheive something: all we make is garbage! But android should do something again then since they ruin all android experience.

Tested in cx-919 and WIFI and BT not working...

Working now after I installed this ROM with your kernel, I will make some tests.

Very nice. WiFi is strong. My Bluetooth audio receiver works well. Hi Def YouTube videos play smoothly. My sling box app plays great. antutu score is 16790 in portrait mode. So far everything I have tested works perfectly.

I like the google boot animation much better

For my device it does not map in internal SD card space properly. If I click sd card it points to the root folder which causes some apps to not functioning

Also as before the screensize is not working in any of my 3 screens (2x TV + 1x Samsung montior)
Is there already a similar kernel for this one that works on old tv's?
