If you want Wifi to work just put this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/jd8xuuoqka...8723bs.ko?dl=0 into /system/lib/ , replace the original one, set permissions to 644 and reboot. It is actually only the 8189es.ko renamed to 8723bs.ko.

I get the "Error Read Only File System"
Tried # mount -o rw, remount /system
and # chmod 644 /system/lib/8723bs.ko
but no joy. Im a little rusty in my terminal skills. can you help?

Im still trying to get this to work.
Ive tried so many different things its too much to list. can't adb shell, or mount or chmod, su - adb remount, nothing allows me access.

How did you guys do it?

Whith NEOMODE rom wifi not working? NO PROBLEM

download attachement and uncompress,
in /system/lib delete the 8723bs.ko
8188eu.ko and put on it on /system/lib
and after rename in 8723bs.ko, chmod to 644, reboot.

good rom solution for the community.

Is it possible to get the exact lines of commands that I would need to complete this process from start to finish? I do not have the slightest idea of what to do; I do understand the concept and also that I would have to use the material terminal. Thanks in advance. My stock firmware got stuck in an eternal boot loop, so I needed to flash it with a new ROM, so I looked around and found this, but didn't expect that the networking for the device would be disabled.

The software runs seamlessly and smooth neomode thanks a mil.. I could use some help with the terminal to get the 8723bs.ko swapped out, so that I can get the networking online. Would really appreciate the help.
