Hello bigall123, I don't own this box. This is a fairly common problem with the USB Burning Tool. It has to do with the License folder in the USB Burning Tool's program folder. There is an easy solution AFAIK. I will post link when I find it.

Hopefully Trebor will beat me to it.

Update: This is what worked for the S95 Vega(S905), don't know if it will work in your case...
    From Tronsmart's forum...
"In the above photo, the part 1 is showing the firmware you just loaded, and please note, if you see the part 2 error (mac 0), Please follow the step 4, if NOT, just ignore and see the step 5.

    4) Download this file to your computer, unzip it, and copy the whole folder which is called" License" and then go to your "USB Burning tool" Installation directory, For example, if you put the USB burning tool in C:/ Program Files(X86)/Amlogic/USB_Burning_Tool/, paste the "license" folder you just download, and replace the existing one, and then repeat the step 3.".

Talked to gearbest yesterday and they said 7-10 business days, ive been waiting since aug 10th,

I was a bit dissapointed when i saw the benchmark against the 905,

Maby i should skip this one and go for a 905?

Disappointing to hear the initial reviews on performance of this box as mine just got shipped from Geekbuying. I hope these are all firmware related issues and will be improved within next couple of weeks.
Considering that H96PRO is also an identical box I am wondering if we can flash that firmware on R-BOX Pro if it is better developed.
bigal123 you may try that one and tell us if the box works better with that.

resansid. I think they will have the same issues as the r-box pro i have to be honest. It wood not surprise me if it were the same box as the H96Pro box. Like i said in my post. Its early days for these boxes. They have not been out for long. I all so have the beelink GT1 box and it works superb. I only went for the pro box because of the 3gb ram. But its got bugs, Hopefully they will be sorted soon.

I was cautiously optimistic about that solution working. Good to know it works on this platform too.

Good luck with the SD card bug.

              Cheers.

Here we are today and a we have a R-Box 3/16gb, by having a close looks it's much the same deal on the inside as the H96,
except we have the extra LED panel in the Lid like the Yoka/Mecool media players and of course 3GB/16 instead of th 2/16gb
                  Thanks to Geekbuying
So let's get into it a little and start with some Specs testing then Benchmarks, may not pull this one apart don't want to avoid warranty

Like the H96 it does look all battered and scratched on the top but luckily it's just a protective skin and is easy to peel

Most test so far are comparable to the H96 nothing noted better this unit appears to run a little warmer than 2/16GB H96.
I find ethernet and Wifi speeds OK much the same as others. The advantage of a 3/16 over a 2/16 not seen as yet in these basic benchmark test.
Test using version firmware dated mid September, there is a new version will see what that is all about soon,
Just check looks like its the same version as is installed at present.
Basic test appears ok, no crashes or weird stuff as yet....as always more to come. Click image for larger version

Well that protective skin wasn't so easy to pull off for me lol originally thought it was damage to the top.

But either way I was wondering if some one is able to assist me?

My R-Box froze and a power down and up cycle most likely bricked it. It powers on but no screen or usb devices work, using a more powerful power supply allows usb devices to power up but still no screen.

Tried to flash the firmware like suggested by geekbuying employee and reading several things but:
those errors occur I do notice when it's flashing and I switch to the HDMI port the box is on it sees a connection at least which it otherwise doesn't do but it's a black screen.

The first error occurred at the format stage the rest is of me trying different things and probably bricking it even more.

Just tried v2.0.7.2 Build2 and the same time out error occurs during format. I couldn't find 2.08. But might the issue be related to the fact that it might not even boot properly? As I said I see no screen so can't verify anything.

Make sure that HDMI cable is in solid, I found on my box, what I thought was in was not, no display. push a bit harder went in couple more mm.
Silly I know but had me going for a few seconds when I first plugged in.

Yes, I have a Wintel box with an HDMI port that is easy not to get the cable fully seated, so I would check that. Try a different cable too, if available.

When I use the USB Burning Tool, I always select the "Force Erase All" option, so maybe give that a go.

                              Good luck.

Yes I noticed as well that the HDMI port isn't that great but shamefully that ain't the issue.

Tried it with Force erase all and the same issue persist.

The admin on geekbuying live chat recommanded me to do a TF card flash. But since I don't see anything I can't see if I am in recovery.

Going to try it later on a different PC maby that helps otherwise I just ask for it to be returned and fixed by them.
