UknowEtheG I will try leena launcher soon, this one has also some multiwindow features. Bluesmanuk uploaded a debloated version with nova launcher, that might be a nice one as well

Now that my firmware is installing (yes flashing was a success!), Can AndroidTool v2.3 also make backups of a full system or just flash? if only flash, is there a tool which I can use for backing up full system and backing up individual partitions as well?

I have flashed several devices in the past, but for this one it was a pain to get the right drivers.. now OTA works fine, now errors yet.. Any tool to extract the img firmware from that one or all individual partition images? if so, I will backup the new firmware and upload it to post it here...

Already found a version 2.1 tool with a really nice readme file to learn a bit how to do this.. http://chinagadgetsreviews.blogspot....dtool-v21.html
After getting familiar with that, I must be able to make a dump using the AndroidTool 2.3 as well.

Is there a method someone can suggest for me to clone 1 device(apps, data, system settings/changes)
And push it to my other 10 devices?

I would love to not have to manually configure 10 more of these things :-)

There are a couple of ROM Dump tools available but they can be hit and miss affairs, especially with the data.

And at the moment, no working TWRP.

Titanium backup Pro might be worth a look as it can backup and restore quite a lot.

Even the ability to create your own update.zip containing apps+data

You do need to pay for the Pro version to get all the features but it's worth every penny in my opinion.

I have been a pro owner for years....
Thing is, I set up a new Gmail account to tie these 11 boxes to. So my personal account didn't need to associated in any way.

I suppose I could add my personal account just to backup apps and then restore to the next device.... Just not sure what will happen after I remove my personal account. Will the apps remain ?

Also, without twrp, how would I utilize the update.zip?

I've already gone and messed up by uninstalling some of the system apps.... I fear now that I am going to have a pain on my hands if I do something bad, considering the posts above about issues with OTA not flashing.

I'm even inclined to remove, or at least disable, the ota-update app. Once I give the devices to my customer, I just want to know things are working as configured, and lock things down so that they have the things I've established as a base to do what they do on top of.
I installed TeamViewer QS and Host on it in case I need to make an adjustment.... But I'm hoping to not have to touch the things once I am done.

TLDR= I love TiBackup, anybody know if it will work in my situation?

Yes the apps and anything else will remain after you remove your personal account.

You can always wipe the free space afterwards in order to prevent any possibility of people using your account.

Whilst removing the specific OTA update may prevent updating via one route, the update (if I remember correctly) is also in settings.

If you really don't want users updating the firmware then change the build.prop so that the information does not match what any update will be looking for.

Can someone with the ability to use a USB male to male cord to flash.... Please test something(would need the USB to fix just in case)

If you do a full backup of all system and user apps.... Then fresh flash and attempt to restore your backed up system and user apps+data.... Will it succeed?

I'm concerned with broking a device and not having my USB cable to use rktools to restore.

I know I'm treading in some dangerous waters as of right now...

My typical use of Ti I would never restore system data on my phone's. But that is because of how often I flash different Roms. If I am going from one system to the exact same system, I'm somewhat confident this may be my solution
(TiBackup everything, transfer backup folder to USB, remove backup from device, remove my account from device, take USB to next device, restore, repeat)

It is not too difficult to make the M-to-M cable from old or unused USB device's cables. It is a simple 1-to-1 cable, i.e. pin 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4. Of course, if you do construct a cable, check cable with a multimeter to ensure correct wiring.

When buying in bulk with a view to selling on then you do need to be a position to cover as many eventualities as possible and for the low cost of a USB cable, it should be considered essential.

then it doesn't matter what else you do because there is always a route back to flashing to original stock.

Agreed, and IMO, flashing via USB is the preferred method, based, in part, on the clean-slate theory.

BTW, Not something I have tried, but from the looks of it, the batch tool looks capable of simultaneous flashing of multiple devices. Anyone know if that is true? If so, that would reduce the time to flash the 10 boxes considerably.
