We must only see how android 4.3 works on rk3188. For now we have already all that rockchip can update in future for other devices. Sdk2 and multiwindows.
But i'm happy of the very stable performanes of video playback 720p and 1080p in every media player and in all condictions.
But specially without overclock the kernel that can burn your device in so little space and without good heatsinks.
The problem of overclock is not only heatsinks, infact this devices already suffer of insufficient power, with overclock the problem is increased making the device unstable under some conditions.
We have also the best antutu score with a standard kernel.
This is only what strauzo think. And i respect the thoughts of others.Last edited by Guest; 20 August 2013, 11:38.

there is no need for more than 1 kernel on sdk2 firmware,
resolution can be changed on the fly with a simple swich in settings (normal/hd). you can swich betwen 720p/real1080p/upscaled1080p.

Users who request for an overclocked kernel are, at least in most cases, aware of what they are in for. Some, like me, have purchased sufficient power supplies and arranged for better heat dissipation. I'm not a kernel developer but shouldn't it be possible to set the default max frequency of these oc'd kernels at 1,608GHz just like it is in a standard kernel? It would then be up to the oc'er to enable the higher frequencies with an appropriate tool.
When I tested phjanderson's oc'd kernel at 1,8GHz with Lewy's Minix ROM, my T428 ran much cooler than with any other kernel I've tested, even without an additional heatsink.
The same goes for 1080p kernels. If people want them, please give them the option to use one. For me a 1080p kernel offers an overall sharper picture and much clearer font rendering on my 52" professionally calibrated FullHD TV.
Just my €0.02.Last edited by Molle; 20 August 2013, 13:05.

By the way, Strauzo, does the kernel included in the nexus rom (or the 1080p kernel I'm currently using) have support for the ASIX AX88178 Chipset? I've been thinking about getting one of these to replace my current RJ45 adapter. This page has a review of the device but I couldn't find an exact answer about Android support in the article.

We can add all that we want in kernel if it is possible.
Nexus rom sdk2 muktiwindows in only a first step to have a full working stable true android rom without chinese things in the android source code. From the and of august we can add other functionality, if this not ruine the stability of the rom / kernel
I try only to have an original android without strange modifications, and i don't wont transform a mobile os in a desktop os. Android in Linuxas a good user write above.
Linux development is other thing and i already tested also this on t428 (read first post in experimental thread)
