after few restarts with Q7_Firmware_By_lewy20041 the device is ON but there is main screen with X pic on it already 10min ? What should i do now, is it normal ?

I choose upgrade option on batch tool. It took about 15 min to load but everything works smooth now

Are you using lewy's 1.20 rom?
I find wassers 1.2.5 is way too unstable to use.

No im using 3.2 but im looking for a good kernel because stock 3.2 720p gives reboots.
I have some 720p kernels i want to check their stability.

One of the things I miss about Wassers v1.25 rom is the power menu/system... when I press the power button on my wireless USB keyboard, the C918 goes off, and when i press the power button on the device again, it comes to life. On this lewy's 3.2, when the device powers up again, there is no keyboard...

I dont know if applied in 3.2's init.d but did you tried this script suggested by Gormar? It seems to help in some power problems.

I get artifacts every 2 seconds on screen with this firmware and also my antutu score is online 15000ish instead of the 21600 shown, What is the reason for this?

I used 3.2 fimware Lewy. I installed k-r42 wasser firmawe based on 4.4 kitkat. Device does not start. I installed 3.2 again but it's fail. I use RKDevelopTool_v1.37 and want install firmware-wasser-1.2.5. After eraseIDB , pc dont see device.... i can't install anything.... when i turn device, light goes out after a few seconds..please help!!!

or manualy flash loader from 4.2.2 firmware using finless tools.

try holding power button while flashing the device, if that dont work google mask rom mode.

I launched RKAndroidTools, short-circuited pin 8&9 of SK Hynix H27UCG8T2BTR with a needle then plugged my USB,laptop detected , and RKT indicates "found RKAndroid"
Then eraseIDB , install justxbmc firmware and everything is work ! thanks Lewy

do you know if any of the roms you made will work with TuneIn on an ethernet - ie, will it ask me to connect with a wifi/data like it does on the 1.2 rom?

I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered already. I couldn't find eny information on that.

It's a good thing that there are 3d party firmwares for this device. There is no guide on how to identify the proper revision, what is th difference between revisions, how's the flashing pricess to be done, how to choose the correct ROM, what will happen if you flash wrong ROM (given that there are so many versions of the device).

A guide with most important information would be great.

For example in my case, I have the device for a week now. There are no stickers, not any model numbers, revisions, etc. I can't find a way to open the case to make a picture of the PCB. So, I guess I'm stuck. How do I find the proper version ?

remove the rubber feet from the bottom of the box and the screws will be visible.
