    Hi.

I installed the ROM and works fine for me.

The only thing that seems not to work is the WiFi direct feature.

    Someone has the same problem?

    Thanks and best regards.

The screens were originally 1280x800. For the fix, I shrunk them down to 1280x752...the same size as my previous boot screens for the M9.

Can someone download an app that tells what the actual screen resolution is on the M9 for verification? I would like to get this working properly.
      Hi.
Just changed the boot animation and now its working.
      Thanks

can you tell me what you have done exactly ?
did you just delete the bootanimation.zip file and let the old one come up ?
can i find the bootanimation.zip file from another rileyrom that i can replace with it ?

Edit: just installed a root explorer and when i open the file "bootanimation.zip" i see inside "desc.txt" the following ...1280 800 10 p 0 0 part0 ... can it be that it should be changed to 1280 756 ? because i read here that the screen should be 1280x756 in screensize ?

Last Edit : just downloaded an bootanimation.zip file from the net .. replaced it with the original and TADAA ...animation works

mine has just started flickering (at least I only just noticed it) since having installed 1.8 a few days ago. It doesn't flicker all the time, just here and there. Tried the LUX LITE app to see if it helped but no luck... will keep an eye on it to see if there is any pattern to it.

i still haven't experienced flickering like before. Then again, I haven't kept the tablet on for more than 20 minutes at a time. Hope it stays that way, even when using it for longer periods...

Ive discovered mine is definitely hardware related,I can hold the tablet between two hands and twist it one way to make the flicker stop and the other way will allow it to flicker worse,I'm able to do this every time, until it completely stops by itself for a period of time within which no amount of twisting will make it start again. Why this ROM exasperates it more than another I do not know, maybe poor shielding/grounding being more susceptible to different power management?

According to the "First Time Users Guide_pr0_rev5.pdf" there is suppose to be a "Drivers" folder.
The drivers folder contains the required device drivers. There is an x64 subfolder for 64 bit drivers, and an x86 folder for 32 bit drivers.
I have downloaded the rom twice and neither has contained said folder. Where do I get the drivers?

Sure enough...it isn't there. Give me about an hour to upload a new kit.

If you want...just download one of my other ROMs and grab the drivers from it. The M8 Pro kit has them.

Sorry for the delay. I decided to install the revised boot animation also.

                        I will upload soon.

                          The upload is complete.

I added the drivers to the flash kit and changed out the boot screens.

                          Hopefully that helps.

Someone please try to see if the boot screens are working for me. If not, I'm not sure what's up with them.

                            Got the drivers now. Thanks.

But it seams that I am not able to get them installed into an XP-vm correctly and I have had no success with the rkflashkit for linux. When I try to erase the IDB I get an error message that the operation is not permitted, or something like that. I do notice that at the bottom of the window it is connected in usb mode instead of "RK Android Loader Rock Usb". That is what makes me think the wrong driver is installed.

                            Just what is the IDB?

                            Thanks

I'm not sure what the letters mean...but it is the entire NAND memory.

I haven't tried this through a VM before. USB devices act differently in a VM. You are charting new territory...at least for me.

I think I figured it out. I missed the step in the instructions about boot2flash. Had I done that it may have worked in the xp-vm. But since it didn't I finally got around to activating a win-7/64 and managed to get the drivers installed correctly. Then after following the directions I was able to flash your rom.

For those who may read this to duplicate, note that after boot2flash the device has to be reconnected to the vm (virtual box) from the device menu before the flash tool will find it again.

                                Thanks,

Now to play with the new rom.
