I tried to talk about this issues two times already, but nobody seemed to be interested.
I notice that sometimes WLAN just cuts off, even if I stand next the wireless router. Usually I just have to wait a couple of minutes and then it reconnects.
But the wireless module seems to be very bad because every other gadget I own (Galaxy SII, Samsung GalaxyTab, several labtops) show 5-8 wireless networks near my house. The PiPO M9 shows 2-3 at best.

To answer your question - yes, the problem still exists with Riley ROM 1.8 and I highly doubt, that anything has changed with the newest PiPO firmware. I also noticed that the PiPO tablet has never shown me my 5GHz wireless network, it only shows the 2.4GHz network - and I think it is capable of using 5GHz WLANs.

The WiFi modules must be faulty they shouldn't be that bad, mine has excellent range, quite a bit more than my gs3,I can even use it from across my backyard in my garage and it still has 3 bars of signal, granted my router is I'm my room towards the back of the house but its still impressive for a cheap tablet, and mine has never dropped out once and I often use it for up to 4 hours at a time and I never switch it off, people probably didn't reply because they don't have that issue,if mine was like that I'd be sending it back for a repair

No problems for me when WIFI is working,
very strong signal no problems streaming
        fom my dreambox.

Better then other units I have.

Problem is it suddenly and totally randomly just dies.
        Sometimes after a minute
and sometimes it is running for hours
        without problems.

Looks like most problems is when "Jumping"
        between different net-dependent applications.

          Need some assistance =P

Hi, the M9 Max is the first tablet i ever owned and its my first time attempting to flash a custom into a device..

I've been able to follow everything that its in the instruction except for

"In the notification area you will find a message saying "Damaged Storage". Press that and then press "Format" This will format your internal SD memory."

Now the problem is I dont have any access to my internal storage. e.g. when i tried accessing Gallery/Camera i get an error message saying "No external storage available". I get a "Internal Memory has been unmounted" when I click on "Internal Memory" in Explorer.

Anyway to resolve this? I tried rebooting into recovery to "mount /sdcard" but i get "Error mounting /sdcard!"

I dont have an external SD card.

          thanks

I found the same thing, I couldn't connect to my pc. I think it is mentioned in the guide but basically all you do is on your tablet, in the very top left of the screen where all you notifications pop up (e.g. updates, downloading etc) pull down the notification telling you about the "damaged storage" tap on it. It will then ask if you wish to format (which you've found already), tap ok. Don't worry it won't wipe everything. For some reason it just corrects the problem so that afterwards your internal memory will be 'mounted' and accessable.

oh yeah, I forgot to mention that. If anyone else finds themselves in the same spot, just go to settings>storage>internal and 'tap' that to try and MOUNT the nand flash. That won't actually work but will then bring up the notification which you can then format the storage and correct the problem. Happy to help

                  hello Riley

Is it possible for you to give me your "unbloat/root" kitchen package scripts ?
I would like to learn how to do my own custom rom.
I find a lot of stuff on internet but i still have questions .

Thanks so much if you can do this for me

If for any reason there isn't a damaged storage notification, just go to the storage menu and select mount sd card (not the external one). It will then tell you that the storage is damaged and you will get the option to format it.

P.S. - Sorry, guys. missed the previous posts and the situation has been already addressed...

Had a problem with the 3G version?
I really want to use it, but I'm afraid.

I couldn't get mine to report the correct imei number,it doesn't actually wipe it or change it though and reflashing a stock ROM restores it easily, its still safe to use there's nothing to be afraid of,I'm still using it,its a lot better than the stock firmware.

Does anyone else notice a substantial loss of volume with this ROM? By substantial I mean about 40% loss or more. Seems like I saw this mentioned with a fix in a thread for an earlier version but I can't seem to find it now.

BTW it seems like it's only the speaker volume that is affected. The headphone jack will blow your head off.

What ROM had louder volume?Someone else on another forum said the same thing,1.8 and the latest stock 20130801rom are the same volume as each other.
Someone on page 2 of the Rileyrom 1.6 forum posted a codexsound HD 4.3 mod link maybe that's what you read?

The stock ROM (Got mine in May) was much louder and so was another ROM I used based on a pipo release in June. Those are the only others I've tried thus far. I will look up that mod though. Thanks.

I upgraded from a may dated stock ROM and noticed the same thing. This ROM is otherwise a huge improvement in every department over the stock ROM I was using, but I do miss the volume.
