I have tested your CWM came with v1.3a on my 3G. It perform very good same as the v1.2 only thing is to familiarize for the first time is a bit tricky to move the highlight bar up and down.

EDIT: I was flashing stock recovery all the time. Silly me. Weird how stock recovery img is so much bigger than CWM.

Ok I am currently on stock firmware dated 2013.07.23.
          Full build info: rk30sdk-eng 4.2.2 JDQ39 eng.root.20130723.122651 test-keys

I have successfully rooted the tablet by using ADB method tool.

Now I have been trying to install CWM recovery to make a backup of that stock firmware but I have not been so successful.

          So I followed this:
          1. Open RKAndroidTool.exe.
          2. Tablet off, usb debugging off.
          3. Connect tablet to pc.
          4. press key combination in order -> ESC, RESET, POWER and hold all.
          5. drivers installed and the program recognizes the device.
          6. Now I had to let go of the buttons to uncheck everything except recovery.img.
          7. then click flash.
          8. Here is the log:

          Code:
          21:56:14 991 Image Thread Path(\\?\USB#VID_2207&PID_310B#6&1A8123C&0&8#{a5dcbf10-6530-11d2-901f-00c04fb951ed}),ThreadID=8444

          21:56:19 445 INFO:Run OK

Now I reboot my device, go in terminal mode, type su, then reboot recovery.

But all I see is a little image in the middle of a 'dead android guy with a red exclamation mark'.

First of all, is this the stock recovery or flash mode?

At this point I am pretty sure CWM did not install correctly.
I have tried a few times but no success.

I saw on another forum the address of the recovery.img needs to be different, I have not tried it yet.

            1.3a downloaded & installed

            AWESOME WORK!

Major improvement for both WIFI & GPS and I mean MAJOR.

WIFI used to be just ok and diddn't work in the back half of my house but now its as good as my toshiba laptop and works all through my house!!!

GPS was useless but now i get a signal from inside mylounge room, outside it seems to pickup satellites quicker and much stronger signal - i've downloaded a couple of navigation apps and will test further. Note: I also stuck the tablet in a 'flappy' cover which seems to help GPS signal also as the aluminium back is now insulated from hands etc.

Antutu score has gone up also

pdf's still take a while to load when zooming but hey, u can't have everything!

Only more hours of use will tell how stability is but I will update.

            Bloody great ROM!

I flashed my pro 3G with this new Chinese firmware (20130822) but still the same regarding screen flashing and freezing. At wifi signal there is an improvement.

                      Hi John

I reflashed the chinese rom again and i used the tablet for 3-4 hours without problem.
This time (for first time) i used the Win 8 style launher and i runed the included game, the book reader and tested some videos without any problem.
The screen proplem apeared when i run the included GPS test. After few minutes started the screen blurring and flashing.
Can you please confirm that the GPS test is running at your tablet without problem and what launcher do you use?

                      Kostas

Finally after some reboots, tablet operated corect. No more flickering and screen bluring.

OK First I have to say a huge thanks and kudos to all involved with the latest RileyRom for my set of Pipos M9 Pros! Once the financial smoke clears, a donation is on the top of the list. The big pain in the butt was the damn Chinese rockchip firm drivers. Why the frigg, would they bake an INF driver with no install??
Just that process took what seemed like forever, naturally this was in the oh so fun force feed Windows 7 lovely OS. Results: The Before > My stock Chinese bloated tablet (s) was getting around 1300+ to 1400+ in Autu.. Benchmark Tests. The After > Wow it shot to a ~19474!
Oh big question for any M9 Pro owners: for the life of me, I can not get a micro SD card to seat in the damn poorly designed TF Card slot. Any tips, tricks or something would be highly appreciated. I am a hardware guy, no newbie tech noob here - but this slot is driving me Nuts!

Quick one for Riley.... I heard that there are issues with Superuser and Greenify. RileyRom has the Superuser app rolled in. Also I just updated the Superuser app to the latest version. So can I install Greenify? Will I have issues? I got this info from the XDA forum. Help on this puppy would be appreciated!

Hopefully you can update the Superuser app yourself...otherwise I will have to issue an update with that included in the system.img.

                            Keep me posted.

The sd card is kinda fiddly! I found the trick was to have the terminals facing towards the back of the tablet and you have to use something to push the card in the last little bit so that it clicks in. I use a pen lid - the tablet loads the card automatically.

how on earth did u get such a high antutu score? Im running the latest rileyrom on my m9 pro and getting 1600's - what have u done?
