Can you cook one rom for us please ?
In my case, i hope it will improved the tablet because i'm not really happy with mine (slow, unstable, freeze...)

I have tried a simple pipo m8 it is really more reactive and pleasant that my pipo m9pro.

I have tried this FW and start with Chinese but I manage to change the language to English. I did not see any much different because I flash back to Riley ROM v1.2

I have tried both but I never save the screenshot. Fyi I am newbie to tab so I explore it. In a day sometime I change the ROM few time just to make me more clear about the process.

the download if FW is extremely hard today, too many traffic on Pipo CN

Can you upload to any dropfile website to mirror it?

If I not wrong the FW dated 2013-08-07 was actually EN_version_20130729 that I have on my tab before. I think this is the latest FW from PIPO website.

I hope Riley is able to give us a rileyrom for this new version

                          Not Working??

                          What you need to do:
                          1. Download any terminal for android
                          2. Run su command to make sure it has root
                          3. type in "iwconfig wlan0 power off"
                          4. type in "iwconfig wlan0 txpower 32"
What it does it increses signal reception a bit and turns off power management for wifi, this might drain a bit more of battery but I found it to improve stability of the connection too.
                          Hey!

I couldn't get this to work at all. I keep getting the message:

"Error for wireless request "Set Tx Power" (8B26) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; No such device.
                          250|root@android:/ #"

                          Any ideas?

Your wifi card has different name, just run "iwconfig" command and check what is the name, should be something wlan0 wlan1 eth0 eth1, you'll know as it gives signal info and such.

                              Hello Dave,

Could you please give us more info on how is the newest firmware and your impressions over older firmwares?
                              For example, Is it multi-window?

                              Thanks!

                                Try:
                                ifconfig wlan0 down
                                iw set reg BO
                                iwconfig wlan0 txpower 30
                                ifconfig wlan0 up

It has been awhile since I have used those commands..... (Backtrack and Kali)
What "iw set reg" is for; is getting your registration country code set to Bolivia. That will allow for 30 db output, if your wlan device supports it, many chip-sets don't..
I may have reversed the "set" and "reg," or not, I am a bit dyslexic.
