There are some boot issues with v1.3...in case you have read the last few posts.

I have finished uploading v1.3a. I eliminated some things from the mix to test further.

Just download from post #1 from the v1.3 page.

As I said before, I had some serious problem of freezing with RileyROM 1.2 and the original 20130729 ROM from pipo... I was nearly to send it back to China!!
But it reborn with the ne pipo 20130822!! Great smoothness, great wi-fi, and it solved my problem with freezing!!
I'm really happy now, I suggest to everybody the last chinese version of the pipo ROM (it's a little bit tricky to switch to other language, as by default it's in chinese...): maybe I'll try the RileyROM 1.3 later...

There is a thread or guide that explains how install and use CWM with PiPO and riley rom?

                    I got couple of questions.

                    1. Is stock recovery a little android with an ! on it? There are no options just that image.

                    2. How do I install only CWM recovery from your ROM? (is it just uncheck everything except recovery.img?)

                    3. How do I boot into CWM recovery/check if it installed correctly? Is it the same button (esc + power) for stock recovery assuming it is indeed stock recovery.

I'm trying out a new process to brand my kernel with the RileyROM graphic. This is the first ROM using that technique.

In order to save headaches...just in case it didn't work, I just included the stock kernel in the kit, so you would already have it...just in case.

So, if the default kernel with my logo on it works, just use it, and don't worry about the other kernel.

The stock recovery only does one thing...it formats everything on first boot. There isn't a reason to boot to recovery after that.

If you want more recovery features, you can flash CWM.

Just run the flash tool and uncheck everything except recovery...and flash.

I have not tested CWM with this device, so I do not know if it works. Sometimes the touch screen doesn't work, and you can't control it (a problem with the M5...since there aren't any external rocker keys to scroll with.

                          tOTAL nEWB?!

I am pretty new to the world of tablets (though i've done more than my share of research, my wife says I got addicted to these forums etc) and received my m9 pro a couple of weeks ago from bangers.

Mine seemed to come with quite a new rom (no i'm silly & didn't back it up) and found everything regarding performance, including antutu score, to be that close that there was no noticeable difference when I installed rileyrom 1.2. I do suffer from freezing system from time to time (5 times in 2 weeks), pdf's take ages tofocus after zoom, chrome is very slow (stock browser works well), wifi is aceptable though not great, and a couple of other activities work kinda slow but everything else, especially the android format/features setup is great with rileyrom 1.2.

Randy explained in the First Time User Guide on how to install CWM on PIPO. Just rename cwmrecovery.img to recovery.img and checked in ROM Flash Tool 137. You can follow this link on how to use CWM. http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/...omplete-guide/ Hope this can help you.
