I tried to flash this to my wifi-version, it didn't boot up.. Stuck at freaktab-logo.
Flashed 1.1 back and it's alive again.

Have anyone else tried to flash this to wifi-version and been succesful?

After flashing with this rom my tablet don't boot

I can see only the riley picture boot
i have pipo m9 pro wifi version (but i have used the 3g version of riley)
Failure is due to 3g version is not compatible with wifi version ???

RILEY ARE YOU SURE THIS IS AN UPDATE FOR PIPO M9 PRO ???

On pipo website i don't see any update of August 7th for m9 pro ???

Because i wanted to try the pipo wifi rom chinese version but i don't find it

Please confirm this for us

Do someone has success this rom on his pipo m9 pro 3g tablet ??

I want to say if it failed, you can easily reflash with
Pipo M9 Pro RileyROM 1.1 (M9 with 1920x1200 display)

it will work again, don't be afraid

The last ROM was from a beta release. This was an update posted on the Pipo site on 8/7.

I have no change logs, so I don't know the difference between the two.

One thing you might try is using a parameter file from the previous rom and see if that works.

the only thing that i can say, this rom don't works on pipo m9 pro wifi version.
After failure i have reflashed with the rom "Pipo M9 Pro RileyROM 1.1 (M9 with 1920x1200 display)" i have tried parameter (4) it don't works and finally partition is always 2gb after flashing.
But with parameter (6) it's ok on boot, tablet has 6gb partition system.
I don't know if parameter (8) works ?

Can you give me the pipo's link of this firmware i have don't find it on http://pipo.cn/En/index.php?m=About&a=gujian

Installed in few hours 1.1 version on my Max-M9Pro and now need to upgrade to this one lol
Ill report how it works when I done with it.
But still keep good work

Just flashed version 1.2 and it works better than 1.1 4sure.
One thing is in settings I see now WIFI MAC address but on the other hand old parameter file was needed (from 1.1 zip). I flashed with parameter6 otherwise endless waiting on boot

For today, conclusion for me :
Stock rom : not really good (antutu 14300 points)

Pipo M9 Pro RileyROM 1.1 = parameter4 don't work, partition system is always 2gb
parameter6 is good and the Rom is better that the rom stock but i think it would be better and more fluid and reactive (antutu 15380).

Pipo M9 Pro RileyROM 1.2 = don't work with defaults parameter and tablet wifi version don't boot

Pipo M9 Pro RileyROM 1.2 with v1.1 parameter6 = tablet finally boot and works good. It seems very fluid, reactive and tablet is pleasant to be used and really better that v1.1 (antutu 15314).

Gps fix quickly and mac address is present in wifi setting

I go to test more v1.2 and i will give my opinions later.

OK, today...my project will be to combine the parameter files from v1.1 to v1.2 and try to find out why parameter4 isn't working.

On this tablet, there is a math problem that doesn't quite work out. Anytime there is a letter E in the equation, my calculator won't work properly. I'll have to figure this out.

That did the trick for me also. I used the parameter6 from 1.1 and this installed fine.

OK, the 4g parameter file is fixed...silly me...I forgot to change one number.

I took the parameter files from v1.1 and added them to v1.2 and uploaded a new ROM called v1.2a.

Just go to the download link in post #1 and re-download the ROM...1.2 of offline and 1.2a is in it's place.

Good news for wifi version owners...I re-downloaded the firmware and it isn't corrupted. So, I'm creating a ROM for the wifi only version as we speak. I will add the link to it in the same download page. It will be v1.2...since I hope to get it right the first time....

Love your roms and love the pipo m9 pro. Really want to CWM my tablet but have tried a few on the web I have found but non of them seem to work for me. I just wondered if you are aware of a CWM method for this tablet that actually works

I'm currently uploading the v1.2 wifi only version of this ROM.

In it, I have included Fun's generic CWM Recovery file. You can flash it instead of the recovery.img...just rename the files back and forth.

The difference between the generic CWM and one that is customized for a particular device is that the generic does not have a kernel embedded in the file. I have not perfected the process of getting this to work, for me.

The First Time User's Guide address CWM. What you have to do when the tablet boots for the first time is immediately scroll down and clear cache. Then reboot the device. When you get to the system...you will need to manually mount the NAND storage in settings. As soon as you mount the NAND Storage, you will get an error message that says "Damaged Storage" in the notification bar. Just click/press on that message and format the NAND manually. Once that's done...you are good to go.

Just reboot the device before you install apps/data.

The upload is now done, BTW!!!!!!!

OK, the upload is complete for the wifi version.

In it, I've included a couple of bonus features for you to try.

1. I added the generic version of CWM Recovery. It is a file called cwmrecovery.img. If you want, you can flash it instead of the recovery.img (this will work with the 3G version too). It should work, OK...but see the previous post for a brief set of instructions.

2. I added a template folder with a readme file if you wish to make a CWM flashable version of the ROM. Now keep in mind...you have to be running CWM before you can use this...and none of the parameters can change. So it is only good for re-flashing the current ROM. You also can't change the user app space size and use CWM to flash. I try to keep my ROMs in standard file sizes, but I have no control over what Pipo does in the firmware...and since I don't own an M9 Pro tablet...I can't test it. So if you have some major geek blood running through your veins...live it up...otherwise I recommend just flashing the old fashion way.
