I have this model S32-V5 (LPDDR3), I have the same problem, the device is bricked. I tried also as someone suggested here with 5V/3A power supply. I get the same error:
      [0x10105004]Romcode/Initialize DDR/Read initialize status/Error result at 2% update.
If I used other image SCV1-GT1_Ultimate.ing it passes this error and give me [0x10202003]Romcode/Lead UBOOT/Download UBOOT/Data tranfer error at 4%. So I think there is not a problem with power supply but only with the images I'm using. If I use customization tool and change in any firmware DDR.USB, it also passes first error [0x10105004]Romcode/Initialize DDR/Read initialize status/Error, but it gives me the second error [0x10202003]Romcode/Lead UBOOT/Download UBOOT/Data tranfer. I also asked at banggood customer service for the correct procedure to update this box, but until now I got no answer. Thanks.

I have a bricked S32-V5 (LPDDR3) device from banggood. I think there is a serial port (4 pins) between the two usb. I have an usb to serial cable that i was using to unbrick my router. Does anyone know (VCC, GND, RX, TX) for each pin? I'm thinking about connecting to it.

The customer service from banggood told me to use the following firmware:
MEGA provides free cloud storage with convenient and powerful always-on privacy. Claim your free 20GB now

Tried with this, still the same error:
            [0x10105004]Romcode/Initialize DDR/Read initialize status/Error result
I also tried with the serial cable I had but I didn't succeed to connect it. I think the problem it is that is only output on VCC 3.3V.
I ordered the following cable from aliexpress:

I will try again when I'll receive that.
There is the following post about how to connect the serial cable:

I talked with the support from banggood and they said that will send me a new box for replacement.

"According to your message, we have confirmed the problem you mentioned and plan to resend you a new item for replacement as a solution of this case about your order Xxxx. If you're satisfied with this advice, please contact us again to confirm"

Sometimes I've had this error and when it errors out I make sure the box in powered by it's own power, connected with USB BURNING TOOL 2.x.x, and simply unplug otg cable and plug it back in and the burning process does complete at 100%. Don't know why but it works.

Interesting! I wonder how it can help getting a firmware for it though Quite strange that they would label DDR4 as LPDDR3.

Hi I think the problem is that we have firmwares with ddr. Img only for ddr3 and ddr4. This box ram is lpddr3. Can be ddr. Img copied from an working device?

Apparently, the problem seems to be that our ram is recognized as DDR4 at 636MHz, and that the ROM is looking for DDR3 or DDR4 running at 792MHz

Success my friend! I tried the firmware in the link, the one named aml_7.1.2_s912_q9377-H96PROPLUS_LP_KDMC_mac-20171010(warning).rar in the H96 Pro+ Firmware (Hcygood) folder, and I succeeded to flash it (ignore the errors and disconnects, it will flash 100%). And I just booted it!.
I flashed with the 2.08 version of the burning tool. Let me know if you succeed too

superceleron Would it be possible to make your firmware compatible with LPDDR3 devices too please?

                            Thanks

Nice . I will try later. Thanks!
I think you could create a compatible version from superceleron by using customization tool from the same link you provided:
                              https://mega.nz/#!4McjFTja!CZFPbBGz9...YD_LXy2PuC3nXs
Extract ddr.img from aml_7.1.2_s912_q9377-H96PROPLUS_LP_KDMC_mac-20171010(warning).rar and put that in superceleron rom and then click pack.

Like i wrote in another post, is nothing to do with ddr3 vs ddr4... is the maker.. they changed maker so some of the boxes are already from the new maker and that means that the mem pins on that new maker are different from the old maker and there is the problem..
I have 2 h96 pro here both from the same maker and one is ddr3 and the other ddr4 and both work ok on my roms.
I hope it got clear now!
