New H96 Pro+ bricked itself after a couple of hours use. Help me diagnose / rescue, is the hardware dead?

Shonk I try again and again with 2 PC and my tab to mega app. same issue. Can you re uploads to mediafire or other ?

So, I just tried your test rom. I unchecked erase bootloader, kept erase flash, normal erase.

I initially got an error at 1%: 10101002 Romcode/initialize ddr/identify/usb control setup. And it disconnected the device. I unplugged and replugged it, process continued until complete. First boot took a long time, but it works!

Mine also completed the burning but still can;t boot. When you write first boot took you long time - how long do you mean?

Hi these errors at 2 percent are usualy because of writting of wrong firmware (wrong driver for dd-ram). That test firmware made by celeron is only for h96 pro plus S32-V5(LPDDR3) box. First of all you need to know what box do you have. You can connect a serial cable if you want to see the logs from the box. If I were in your place, I would try all the firmwares from this link:

Maybe you have luck and find the correct one.

If you erased bootloader you can only unbrick with usb burning tool. If your bootloader is still intact you can use also Burn card maker to unbrick your box.

You could try with bootloader erase option checked.
When i bricked my device i had this checked and i was able to recover it. If you are able to write with usb burning tool you can write the bootloader.

It's really very strange. I have managed to write the correct stock FW with USB Burning tool (I have received a complete 100% successful message) but the the box does not boot. The last thing I have not checked is to replace the power supply adapter (just in case there is a kind of problem with this component). I have no other choice.

Use the last version of soft V2.1.2

You must plug and unplug every time to see CONNECT

You plug USB cable
You switch on RESET
You plug power
You swith off reset

You can see CONNECT

Are you sure of your USB MALE to MALE ?

Do you earth the sound when you plug usb on your computer like to USB KEY ?

Try to power it by using second usb connector. I sow that in this case it was detected much faster.
Also you could try to connect the serial and you will see if is really dead.

You need a pl2303 Usb to rs 232 converter. You can buy one from:

Also you can find this on amazon, just search pl2303.
The serial pins are between the 2 usb. If you look in first picture from post 9 you can find that at triangle sign is the black wire, then yellow, blue and red. If you magnify the second picture also from post 9, and look at connection to pl2303 you'll find that:
- black is GND
- yellow is RX
- blue is TX
- red is VCC 5V
After connecting these wires, you need to start putty. You can find it here:

You can configure it like in the attached picture, just need to replace COM1 with the COM detected by windows for your pl2303 converter. Just go to device manager and find the correct one.
Start it then press reset on your box. You should see:
GXM:BL1:dc8b51:76f1a5;FEAT:ADFC318C:0;POC:3;RCY:0; EMMC:0;READ:0;CHK:AA;SD:0;READ:0;CHK:AA;USB:8;0.0;
on your putty screen.

I can confirm that after replacing power adapter with another one 5V 3A the box booted. Perhaps that is the 1st think someone should check if has booting problems.

My box bricked no video at all and can not get usb burning tool to see it over the USB cable . tried replacing the power supply with 5v 2.5 amp no difference
