      Big Improvement

Flashed last nite with the 720p no oc simon kernel and 4gb partition. I let rom boot up and settle in. Did not try wifi. Then I flashed cwm. Thank you for the note about waiting to flash it after rom boots once. So first thing I test after turing on wifi is my bandwidth. I have no issues. Wifi is same up-down as with 1.4. Next is xfinity cable app. Played and worked well.. Next is netflix. Last nite it worked perfectly.. Then this morning I get cant connect to server error. Reboot stick. Try again and it works. As far as rest of the rom goes. I have had no locks or freezes. Streaming 1080p Test videos through youtube looks the best I have seen so far. I agree netflix has issue with 4.2.....not the stick. Anyway, thank you very much Bob for all that you do. I feel like I have a new stick...lol

I am currently running Finless 1.5 with kerneljjh-800mhz-1080p.img. Encountered "system hung". Had to reboot by power it off and on.

Better PSU and air circulation are what you need. Try running Antutu with current setup to see if the system freezes or reboots itself.

Quit trying to use switch and just flash the ROM.

Sometimes this can happen with a bad flash. From that point on it will just go into flash mode.

            Bob

can you tell me if wifi problems are resolved? i see some comments about this and im not sure what kernel is usable for good wifi work, is the only thing im waiting!
            thanks!

PD: some link to flash CMW for make a nandroid backup, 1.4 is working good and need to backup! thanks

While my CX-919 successfully booted with the 800Mhz 1080p kernel, it crashes and reboots when attempting to run an Antutu benchmark test.

Looking into an small active cooling solution and better power supply.

                Wifi Performance

I'll start by saying wifi is finicky on the CX-919. Changing roms and kernels on a PC with the router 6 feet away everything looks good. As soon as I move the CX to where I want to use it, speeds drop off with signal strength.. Speeds on other devices (tablet, laptop) get 25mps up and 5 down anywhere in the house. I was using an iPazzPort mini keyboard until I realized it was causing wifi interference. A logitech mouse seems to not cause a problem. Using the default flash settings (simon 720) I get 4 /5 up at the location I want to use it. With the stock 720 kernal I get 10/5.

Personally, I would highly recommend Ethernet over Wi-Fi for speed and reliability.

I've posted a lot of valuable information in the following thread.

Which USB to RJ45 Adaptor for T428? Do they need Drivers?

Can any of the dev guys confirm that the kernels support uvc/v4l ? Upon connecting my webcam (that works under ubuntu) /dev/video0 is created dmesg says

but skype/camera/hangouts or any other program can't seem to find it.

I did lsmod and don't see uvcvideo module loaded. Also i get some errors like this (and i chmod to 777)

                        Hi guys,
I have not installed the Find Rom yet because I think is quite difficult, im not very skilful, but I have an issue with this little CX-919.

Even if I use xmbc or another player to play a film, the film doesnt goes smooth. It seems as the image jumps and it is not possible to see any film.

I have also tried copying the avi file to the sdcard but it goes exactly the same.

Do you thing that installing Findless rom will be better for watching films?
                        Ty!

why not just try the default 720 kernel? I have the factory ps. When I flash 1.5....I do not get any reboots. I do have a box fan blowing air over the ps and stick. But thats it. While I love speed. Stability is more important. Freezes and reboots stink.

                            freezez

i have random freezes with 1.5 finless rom and simon 1080p kernel, have to reboot when i get it.. its disturbing, is it kernel related?
                            1.4 is a masterpice..
thinkin about restoring 1.4 and trying that with simon 1080 p kernel..

no word about this from the developers?

i will post back if the freezes accur on 1.4 then i think its the kernel itself..

i have tried 1.4 with simon kernel 1080.. works flawlessly.. i dont know why 1.5 is messing with my head CHEERS 1.4 rom

Mine had one freeze when I was using Flipboard. I run 800MHZ 1080P. Seems stable enough since that one time freeze.
