so you use a Type C to USB3 female Cable , i orderd a Type C to USB2 male Cable , really hope it

works and ordered a small 40mm Fan to prevent heating , shall place him above the X99 sign ,

1-TypeC is "USB3.1" new designed/generation supporter and for more faster data stream you need USB3.0 USB port/cable!!!
on your PC or ext.HDD

But at least its work on USB2.0 as well

Note;this ******* Box really made me headche,like when I use my ext.HDD(which is USB3.0) and connection to the TypeC(with adapter)
it does not play my files smoothly!! always I got got warned like this>>> "usb device mounted" WTF
So I cant play my HDD on this port!

I connected my other Samsung 32Gb(3.0) Flash-drive to this TypeC port(I'v lot of photos on this Flash-drive and it works but when I connected
my ext.HDD its not play well!! so I use my ext.HDD to connecting USB3.0 port on the Device

2-For FAN use;my friend you do not need any FAN!! my Device 24hrs OPEN!! so no any heating issue!
Here in ANTALYA hery hot and high level humidity and daily Temp is 30/35C(room Temp is 23/25C) still I do not open Air-conditioner!
You live in Germany,so no need FAN

But when July/August is come here Temp raise to 40/45C than we will see whats happend

FAN=NOISE!!

3-But we can drill the upper box cover for more air transfer(I'll do it in near future) just I'm awaiting High weather Temp!
About 1 month I used this Box and never get any heating issue!

Hi to all.

I have received this box yesterday an I'm a little disappointed.
This box is fast but as you reported before there's no root and kodi does not save anything. Also I'm having problems with iptv stream full HD. It's not playing smooth, it's playing like blocks of frames. Slow..

Other thing I did not see anyone complaining is about dual band.. I only can see 2.4G networks, my 5g wifi networks do not show.. Anyone else with this problem?

Network speed=BAD!! even Ethernet!

If possible use Etnernet Cable!! I got more stable+fast with Ethernet connection

2.4G=bad speed
5Gb=even very bad speed

This Box give you bad WiFi speed,now I use Ethernet connection so a little bit more stable and fast!

Forget "KODI" it doesnt work(when you power off device all your settings+Addons will be deleted!)

forget this link,before this FW given here or H96 Thread,in the past I'v downloaded this FW and now on my Desktop
about 1 month I do not find any way to upgrade! I'm still waiting with this FW

I have a problem with my box! I tried to update it to the newest firmware and now my box does not turn on. I followed the instructions (I used RKBatchTool-v1.8) and it said that everything went ok. But when i turn it on, the tv is black and the small screen on the box says "load" but nothing happens! I have the rooted version X99 and the firmware that i tried to burn (i tried both that i found here) are the not roooted versions, I do not know if this is the problem. Please help! Do i miss something??

I tried many times, I do not know if I do something wrong. You mean the RKBatchTool-v1.8 right? And the DriverAssitant_v4.4? The process goes on normally, it says completed but it does not turn on, it stucks to load on the small screen of the box. Do i miss something???
